My first weapon lock in ~100 hours played, accidently running over teammates with Gal transporting them from Warpgate to Allatum.
I most likely captured a base, killed a few people in the process, and now can no longer do anything to affect my teams chances of success. Shit.
M60 is p good against infantry but pointless against vehicles. I could see it because useful on a rushing Sundy to bust into a base with barricade armor or something. Galaxy Gunship idea doesn't really work out because AA is dumb right now.
Like most things, decent soundgrade, ridiculously expensive.

It takes [i]at least[/i] 6 to down a MAX with the two strongest shotguns in the game, maybe 3 if they were point blank direct headshots... which you can't do from behind.

this coming from the dude who used sweeper most of the time in PS1 and has 7 of his top 8 Battlefield 3 guns being shotguns.

As shittily overpowered as shotguns are at the moment, I think you're exaggerating as fuck. Maybe it was an audio glitch or something, but NO shotgun can do that.
You know how I know that? Because I ran behind DOZENS of maxes, getting as close as possible as to not miss, and it takes [B]SIX[/B] shots. Six. Not Five. Not Two, SIX.
Also as for CQC is impossible now? Uhhh [I]no[/I]. I switched to carbines recently and I do perfectly fine. In fact, I haven't seen too many shotguns at all. Which is kind of surprising considering how easy to use and powerful they are. In most engagements I've been in I've only seen like 2-3 per fight.

Ive managed to unlock both and it is indeed terrible, shotgun is much better to unlock for fun. But even with all the whining about it being OP, its not super effective in my hands (not the NC one, at least) - range is not great even for indoors combat. Great fun as infiltrator, though.
Dont take my opinion on lasher to account that much though, i dont like the feel of any Vanu or TR guns after i started playing NC. Damage is just not the same.
What I don't understand is why they made the Lasher a weird energy flamethrower thing instead of just like the PS1 Lasher. This is all the more confusing because they basically have the Lasher ingame already as the PPA tank secondary.
The range is just horrific. I can understand the shotgun, especially being used with infiltrator, but as a Heavy how am I supposed to close the distance to use the Lasher?
And then we find out they kept the old prices for weapons.
Reaver Rocket pods. Now only 12500 cert points!
I am in love with the M14 Banshee after it got explosive shells, yeah it only has 25 rounds per magazine, and I am capable of taking out infantry with the Needler, but the fact that I can now do a sweep and just hose down a general area to weaken infantry is a lot of fun. Feels good being ground support.

Imagine if lock on AV launchers didn't exist and didn't do as much damage as regular launchers :o
Tank swarms are kind of a bitch to deal with. I have no problem with lock on launchers.

Hehe, I remember this fight. A few minutes after the video ends is when our squad (not even full, maybe 9 people in it at the time) had a spawn beacon put down near the cliff, and we all dropped in. The 9 of us somehow wiped out every single TR on that cliff, allowing our other squad to get in with an AMS and start pushing them back. We got them all the way back to Mao.

Credit where credit is due, they have some fantastic organization and clearly put a lot of hardwork into making sure everyone knows what's up considering the numbers they roll with.

Case in point, they decided to hole up in the Crown as an outfit. So we left a token force, one Sundy, some infantry, few Magriders, then the zerg went north.
By the time I logged off VS owned everything to the north except the points immediately around their warpgate and the far eastern zones.
This was at 29% pop :v:
