I mean, I am in the outfit of Hezzy and Dachi since like a few days, but I don't quite get the concept of an outfit, yet.

I used to have it, it's definitely a shitload better than the POS C75 Viper that's installed by default. It's great for sneaking around in. Get Stealth and the AP turret and you can flank around enemy tanks to murder them from behind.

Keep in mind that you won't be able to do anything to infantry, because AP has basically no splash.

Just got my hands on the bolt action sniper rifle for the TR, while it does sort of go against what TR is all about, it feels nice to know that I don't have to land three to four shots to take down a heavy assault if I can't land headshots. It also feels immensely satisfying to get headshots with it. One shot and they're history.

Fun fact, if you go to the store when you die you can't respawn unless you log out and come back. Also as a bonus the colours stay messed up so everything that was blue is red, makes the vanu guns have red tracers. It's pretty cray.

If you drive a Lightning often then yeah, get it.

EDIT: Although it is only really effective against armour (but still one shots infantry with a direct hit), so you're going to be pretty much screwed if you come across a squad of heavies. You might be better off with HEAT rounds.

I ended up getting the Skyguard. I feel like I'm cheating when I use it. I can snipe enemy aircraft out of the sky from over 700 meters away. Can take down a Reaver/Scythe in one clip, and a Liberator in two. You get at least 200XP per kill because of the kill and the vehicle destruction (100 for Reaver/Scythe, 150 for the Liberator, and 500 for the Galaxy). I always thought the Skyguard was ridiculous when I would fly around myself and get shot by it. Now that I'm using it myself, I can definitely say that it feels overpowered. I know it's a weapon that's supposed to completely changes the way the Lightning works, but this is just ridiculous.

The only reason I'm making this post now is because my game crashed. Had I not crashed, I'd still be sitting at Rust Mesa denying the air of the surrounding 800 meters.

I've been debating whether I should stay the course for a 240 cert HE lightening cannon, or to just buy one of the cheaper ones.

I have 160 certs right now, and I really can't decide. Can anyone tell me how effective the HE cannon is in killing infantry? I like blowing up lots of infantry in lightnings, but I am just now also really getting into tank battles as well.

Also, how effective is the skygaurd at killing infantry? I had initially wanted to use it as a bullet spewing infantry hunter as well.

Also, how effective is the AP cannon? Like could it wipe out another lightening in one 6 round barrage, or would it take more?

No, only Engineers can drop ammo. If heavies did, there would be an awful lot of rocket spam. Tank columns wouldn't stand a chance.
