Only time I attacked the crown I was in a sunderer and accidentally parked too close to the side of the bridge and fell to my dead when I got out. Ten or so minutes later I hopped back in to reset the explodey timer and forgot, fell again. Respawned, walked too far back fell off again.
I remember the first time I tried to play I was just driving around an enemies base getting shot at and still surviving. Wish we could see people in cockpits/cabs
I'm going to make a post like the other half-million scrubs and ask if anyone has a spare key. Is the beta anything like the trailers show? Or does that level of play require clan-like cooperation with voip?

Or does that level of play require clan-like cooperation with voip?[/QUOTE] I've only seen that amount of people twice, once when NC had a huge tank rush at our warp and we did the same and another time When I went straight to a squad waypoint and there were 15 liberators in the sky and a few galaxies right over the edge of the hill. I didn't turn fast enough, taken down near instantly by a MAX.

The original concept art for Planetside had the vehicles with opaque metal cockpits with sensors to look all drone like but then they wanted to be more 'showy' especially with the custom character models.
I think they should stick with opaque windshields until they actually get the game to show the pilot inside the cockpit

I like to fling my Prowler off the southern cliff and run over dozens of NC troopers as I come screaming down at 80kph with all the guns blazing. It's a pain in the ass to fight in the open as TR because our sniper rifle(s) are so meh compared to the ridiculous VS semi-auto and the two-shot kill Bolt Driver.
Weird, I find the TR sniper rifle much better than the VS rifle. Compensating for drop is easy enough and it doesn't frustratingly send your bullet off at weird angles like the VS is wont to do. Bolt Driver is just far better than both though for general purpose sniping.

AA/Aircraft is in a retarded spot right now. If you in like a 10 man squad of Reavers (or whatever faction you choose) and you go to a main facility, you get your shit torn apart by AA turrets, AA MAX, and Skyguard Lightnings, which causes pilots to say AA is op. If you have a 10 man group go fly around capturing outposts, then everyone gets their shit torn apart and nothing can stop them. A lightning can only kill 1 aircraft at a time, so they will just swarm him and kill him ASAP. The fighters will just spawn camp with rocket pods, so as soon as you walk out that door, you're dead, including that AA MAX of yours. Outposts really need better defenses, because right now they just rolled over if one faction has the jump and has more than 3 vehicles

If there isn't any anti-air, it's ez infantry farm for me. If there is a single anti-air unit I just am not allowed to fly in that area at all until it's neutralized.

Then it was just going to be an updated planetside 1.5 with a F2P cash shop.

Yeah it was just going to be PS1, but with some updating and a cash shop. Plus updated models. But it was essentially going to be PS1 redux.
I wonder if they are going to continue with that for F2P PS1 or it's just going to be like reserves except forever. I wouldn't mind being limited to BR6. Gives me medic, mossie, engineer, and MA. That's all I need.
Maybe. Unless they want to cash shop PS1 F2P as well. We all know how cash shops are the ~vogue~
