Haha that was hilarious. Just lost a facility to VS(again, sigh) and ran away to hills to hide. Just sitting there minding my business, trying to make my way back slowly to friendly territory when I see a group of 10+ people walking across a field. One guy is ahead, and stops to wait for the rest. Right as he stops- boom, headshot. Everyone started panicking, running around looking everywhere trying to find the sniper. I managed to take out 2 more before they found me and I cloaked and ran away Then I was ran over by a random sunderer. What a tragic way to go :(

Me and my buddy were flying a liberator sniping all the sunderers we could find at our defending bases. I feel like that's a very good way to defend places.

What's with the stupid helmets & uniforms too? On the arts and screenshots infantry looked badass, in game they look retarded..especially those black goggles.

I am quite eager to try this out and see the huge-scale combat. I signed up for the beta a while ago, but it seems I haven't gotten a key yet. I heard that this game also requires a fairly beefy PC to run too. I checked and I exactly meet the recommended system requirements. (AMD Phenom X6 1100T, ATI Radeon HD 6870, 8GB RAM) Would that be enough?

Man the textures are utterly terrible on anything else than high and my computer catches on fire if I turn that shit up Fun game though

I love how I can now play the game with atleast 20+ fps and actual kill shit now, but it would seem that crashes occur much more often! As in, every 10 minutes often.

Has anyone got a spare Beta key I can give to my friend? would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yay, apparently Planetside 2 doesn't like Windows 8. It has a bug that has apparently existed for a month or so that makes the game crash on startup.

So my character was wiped from my account. I'm thinking it's from abusing that weapon purchase glitch that let's you keep your certs, but I received no messages about it. Has this happened for anyone else? [editline]asdasd[/editline] To further elaborate my account is still up and when I try and make a new character with the same name it tells me it's taken so my character is still out there somewhere just no longer accessible from my account.

Are you sure you didn't delete it on accident?

Bolt action is literally useless below 50-100m because of hitbox lag and how people move in the this game (good luck actually hitting your target). It also garuntees you don't kill someone if you manage to not get a headshot on your first shot, while with the default vanu rifle its almost garunteed that I will kill someone because I don't need headshots to be effective with it.

Bolt Driver is my most effective sniper rifle. I find it better than the Vanu one. Drop is easier to manage than purely random spread.

Though it depends if you have a phenom 2 or just a standard phenom The game sucks on core 2's right now (unless they patched that) but my BF owns a Phenom 2 and can run the game decently well on a mid/high range video card and 4gb ram. Drop is easier to manage than purely random spread.[/QUOTE] Yeah Vanu one is good in the right situations, especailly if you particuarlly have good aim that night and low lag I just find myself switching to the default one with a scliencer if I know I'm going to be getting my hands wet in engagements within 100m or so.

Also, do the vehicle point costs pull from a teamwide resource? I've been reluctant to spawn anything because I don't want to waste points on something I'll probably get blown up in a few minutes.

The resources that are displayed on the spawn screen are for your own personal use.
