Planetside 2 Thread v2 - Beta floodgates open GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY - Games

The game's performance has really, REALLY tanked as of late. As in, it's unplayable in some spots of the game (20- FPS) on low, with a 570GTX. That shouldn't happen. And it's not like those areas have a lot of players, it just seems to randomly tank.

Vanguards were barely making it out of the vehicle bays. A large line of NC armor that was put in place to block the us from getting to a tech plant was obliterated before our own forces even got within firing range. On the bright side, I'm seeing large aerial dogfights for the first time in ages.

Tbh TR's mosquito and Mbt probably the most shitty faction based vehicle and aircraft.MBT has like no resist and it melts like anything even with secondary laser canon on mag-rider,it cant turn fast/cant go fast it is like driving a big pile of box into battlefield.And Mosquito,what are those devs thinking,hilarious turn rate and speed,you cant outrun anyone if you dont have extra afterburner and one lock on rocket shot and your pretty much fucked,all of the 3 guns are shit compared to base guns in other two faction.

Are the servers down atm? I just downloaded it and I am unable to choose servers as they all seem to show up with the red arrow symbol after I have chosen the faction

Anyone have a spare beta key that I could steal for a friend? this game is so much more fun when you have constant voice comm with friends.

can't decide if I should buy the alpha pack, I mean it's nice having more weapons that you don't have to waste cert on but still. Also is the bouncing betty for infil bugged or something? I certed into it but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Well I fully certed into HA just because I could even though I dont usually play that class. Honestly it seems like most of the certs are really just not anything that overpowering or anything. The only certs that blatently give you a big boost are stuff like rocketpods I'm not any "better" with a specc'd out HA guy than I am without it. The thing is, all of the stuff the HA gets that he can cert into, he can only have one active at a time (and some of them are really weird, like you can't have a shield enhancement at the same time as more ammo/grenades enhancement). So i'd be much beefier if I would be able to do faster shield recharge in addition to nanoweave armor, but it only lets me do one "enhancement" per drop-down menu so that doesn't really apply. Also, the stuff that imprroves the shield ability HA has only improves the cooldown time, not the actual strength. And some of the certs are flat out retarded too - like the final blip on the HA's cooldown reduction is only 1-2 seconds less than the previous one, yet costs 200 or so certs more. So basically, the certs haven't really dramatically improved or change my game with what I played with, except in the case of weapon purchases. Being fully certed basically just means you have all of these minor tweaks to the class, and thats it - almost all of the class certs don't even really improve or change your roll at all because they are so small (at least for HA in practice). The only "upgrade" style tweaks I can get (like holding more ammo or grenades) requires me to not have any other tweaks like faster shield cooldown.

They pretty much just brought it down to the same strength as the default shield, making it just a waste to invest certs in. You can blame the whiners who go up against a HA as a LA and lose every time then complain that the shield is OP. Sometimes I think the developer listens a little too much.

So, now I actually got in the game, and fiddled with UserOptions .ini for better FPS. I suppose Facepunch is split over TR / NC mostly?
