Planetside 2 Thread v2 - Beta floodgates open GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY - Games

Even on low graphics I can't seem to get more than 25 fps in any situation not even at spawn. I have a 6850 and the recommended graphics card is a 6870. Its really hard to do anything other than hide behind people and heal them.

If you get bad FPS, its almost garunteed its because you have an old processor or a processor that isn't supported/optimized yet (this includes all core2 intel processors unless they fixed that).

So I decided to get the AA missile for HA after realizing I can't always be burster MAX, and those missiles are worthless. The range on them is shorter than the burster's effective range - you can only lock onto things at 500m. Flares knock out your lock for a long time, like 7 seconds, and will always force the missile to the flares instead of the target. Then, I noticed one pilot simply waited for my missile to come by, and then lifted up a bit to dodge it entirely. Seeing that, I tried it myself later, and realized you can dodge an AA missile if you just go to third person whenever you see a lock-on message. It's really easy to dodge them. The only redeeming value these missiles have is being able to deal damage to ground vehicles with much less drop.

After a while you'll figure it out. If jets are pissing you off at the moment, they'll be nerfed soon. I know my butt is buttmassively buttfrustrated at the moment.

oh my god weapon lock is the most annoying thing ever and is even worse for me because i play heavy and people fucking love to walk right into my line of fire while im trying to suppress or kill some people

clearly you should stop trying to suppress if people are just going to walk into your line of fire weapon lock is a completely broken system but until its addressed you should just try to work with it

I got in invite and played for an hour before the update had to happen. I killed a few dudes and found the way to get to the top of a bio lab, which was confusing as fuck because there were literally 25 dudes chilling at the bottom like theres a way up but no. Then I camped their last spawn for a while. made me want to play battleground europe

Any quicker way to get a beta key?

I'm interested to see how fast Liberator cannon shells move now. Their speed was the reason for my sticking with the shredder. Though, now that the shredder deals more damage, I don't know if it will matter.

With my current gaming hours I don't think I'll have enough certs for a new gun for a few months.

Unless they give 100 exp every time your character does a fart I don't see how they think 720 certs is a good idea.

I don't get how you guys get so many certs. at best I gain like 6 certs an hour

So you've picked the least aggressive class and use it in the least aggressive way. Sure it feels good spawn camping a Sunderer, but you're not going to get many points without actually getting in there and, well, you know, helping your team cap points and stuff.

Well if you deliberately pick a low-intensity playstyle then you're going to get less than the average cert rate.

The same exp per kill, the same exp per objective. I doubt you get 6-8 kills per minute because that'll give you an astronomically high score per hour. Higher than the highest kill farmers.
