Holy shit, capturing an amp station gives you 1000xp
I auto-joined a squad where all 4 platoons in the squad were rolling around in tank capturing bases deep inside enemy territory. Pretty much got 6 certs in an hour.
Also, I am very surprised by how tc players are inable to look up and see me in my 2nd story balcony right next to them, while I empty my LMG into their skulls.
Picked up a key from the thread the other day and man this game is a blast, I just wish that it had more defined objectives.
The first time I played I was as lost as fuck and stumbled around for a good hour.
You know what the NC Galaxy reminds me of?

Ironically, that is how most of the galaxies I jump on end their life.

Holy mother of fuck.
Despite trying to dig a thrench with the wing, that fucker stopped on a dime.
But still, not yellow and blue 0/10 would not suicide run.
why would you get such a powerful scope for the lmg?
The default NC LMG with a scope is the shit.

a cool project ruined by idiots that forgot how lift works.
So is there a special tactic on this game to not be killed by everyone and everything in 1 hit or do i just have to spend cash to get the good stuff? Seems like i'm spawning and dying like 2/3 times just to whittle someone down to low enough health so that i at least get an assist.

At the moment the entire game is super saturated with unlocks. Basically everyone has an inherent advantage over the newer players. And you can't buy up unlocks yet because the shop isn't up yet.

It was pilot error that caused it to crash, could have happened to any aircraft.

so people are actually paying the 750 certifications needed for some of the stuff?
so people are actually paying the 750 certifications needed for some of the stuff?
Either they already had them, or are using some of the 1k-3k certs that some people got.
One detail I absolutely love in this game is the radio chatter that idly plays when you're in most vehicles. I've always wanted more of that in games, it's a cool little piece of battlefield ambience that always seems to get left out.
I see Planetside 2 is on Steam!

Good, that is exactly what this game needs to do well.

Gave your video slightly more traffic.

Anyone need a key? I got 5 Extra, I'd be happy to hand em out.
EDIT: Even though it comes out in 6 days.
Can anybody post a tutorial or help a new player out? I have no idea what I'm doing.

That's exactly my point though. What kind of pilot hits the reverse jets when they are still in the air?
Even the pilots in battlefield know better.
I think it's always fun in this game when there's a stalemate that develops when my team has a ton of Sunderrers deployed behind a nearby hill at maybe a bio lab or other large structure. And then what ends up happening is literally hundreds of infantry start pouring out from the Sunderrers and swarm the bottom part of the structure and getting mowed down wave after wave. After awhile it ends up being a bit like the ocean crashing on rocks. But then as time goes on we secure more cover and inch our way up to the base of the structure and just start flooding in all the open passageways to overwhelm the enemies. This game makes me feel like a single zerg in a zerg rush sometimes.

5)MRTCEX4TJF2JZ744ZMRM
rate agree if you took 1, disagree if you took 2, funny for 3, winner for 4, zing for 5
As an addendum, I tried the game out a while ago(got in with the pcgamer key) and had no idea what I was doing. Are there any good semi-casual outfits out there to run with? Also, the game runs poorly on my 460m, any performance tweaks?

Honestly I like the slow crawling battles where moving just a meter closer is a big accomplishment way more than the battles that just have one side steam rolling the other. It's intense as fuck.

Trench warfare themed continent pls.
Can anybody post a tutorial or help a new player out? I have no idea what I'm doing.
Well we're happy to help anyone that has a question, but unfortunately there's no tutorial for new players yet.
This game really needs an incentive to get people onto continents where one side dominantes. Like 10X certs if you fight against a faction that controls the whole thing. Was fighting on the snow map with small 4 man FPP squad and a handfull of random people is not enough.

The thing is, all it takes is one big push to get in and break the line and get to the generators. The problem is, everybody is waiting for a group to do just that so they can follow, but when one guy pushes forward everybody goes "I'll wait until 4 or 5 more guys follow before I do so I don't get mowed down.", and then they all look at each other while the lone hero gets obliterated.
Once more people get into the command channel, hopefully this problem won't be as common.
PS I'm talking about the common zerg here, not organised outfits. They don't have that problem, which is why you should JOIN AN OUTFIT IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY.

What's the main objective? I see a bunch of areas on the map that are color coated that separates the three factions. How does one capture these tiles? Also when i go to spawn a vehicle it costs points, where do i find how many points I have and how do i get more?

This is far and away the best part of the game.
We were assaulting the Grey Heron Outpost point (I think that's what it's called????) and we spent at least 45 minutes using the nearest road as a trench where we were pretty much loaded with a million snipers and medics. Some outfit was doing synchronized bombing runs on the outpost and it looked so cool from the view of a single soldier.

Objective is to take over everything. The three colors are the three factions. You want to capture ones that aren't yours by going to ones that are adjacent to yours, finding the base there, and capturing it ala Battlefield. Then it'll eventually be captured and you can move on to the next one.
The points you get over time (and through other methods I can't remember) and you can see them when you go to the vehicle spawn menu. There might be another way, though.

Capturing areas works like sieges in the total war games or conquest in battlefield. Basically there's anywhere from one to three letter-coded terminals at key sites. Capturing and holding all the terminals in a given area for a certain amount of time (depending on the amount of friendlies present) will capture the key site and the area around it.
Vehicles all cost their respective resources (called Infantry, Vehicle and Aerodynamics). It will tell you how much of each you have in the bottom left corner when you activate vehicle consoles.

Do you need more than one person to take over a tile? I tried last night at an enemy tile, I stood there forever but I had gotten nowhere.

A single person can take tiles if all the terminals have been captured by that person. It'll just take eons and will probably fail because Operation Overlord: Auraxis edition will come down on yo' ass.
