Just took The Crown basically by myself as an Infiltrator on EU2, I had some teammates that came in quite late to the party, but I was running back and forth between B and C harassing the NC and capturing them over and over again. It all ended when a fellow Terran shot me while fighting an NC soldier. This came right on the heels of a glorious defense of the Allatum Bio Lab against the VS scourge where I played the role of harasser and blinked in and out of existence, flanking intruders, using my chainblade to take out their shields and then fired a single burst from my Repeater to end them, took out a MAX that was wrecking our shit from a walkway overlooking E by running around and up behind him, stabbed him in the back and emptied a magazine into him. Infiltrators are really fun to play, especially when you don't consign yourself to sniping from a click away. I just wish they'd add some more tools for me to use so I could really wreak havoc in enemy bases. Hacking their equipment and vehicle terminals, using EMP grenades to disable the shields of enemies, laying down IFF scanners for my team, claymores and so on and so forth. I can't wait.
what would more tanks accomplish? when the certs are in properly you'll have so much choice between the lighting and mbt you can do practically any role [editline]31st August 2012[/editline] Jeeps! jeeps would be awesome though
[editline]31st August 2012[/editline] Failquote. I am supporting jeeps. Let it be known. Jeeps.
I'd really like to see some better organization abilities for outfits and platoons namely, leading into factional leadership that can just voice to everyone in the faction and plant objectives and waypoints and shit.

They've got their work cut out to get everything in off the whiteboard.

I remember some interview saying there'd be a mission system where platoon leaders/squad leaders could request like a galaxy pickup and that would be broadcast to current galaxy pilots and whatnot. [editline]30th August 2012[/editline] So I imagine platoon leaders putting attack orders isn't a longshot by any means.

But to use it you need certs that have yet to be unlocked.
can some one give me a code?
can some one give me a code?
That's not how you get into the beta. It's not as if people just have extra codes.
I keep hundreds on flash drives next to my pile of bunny skulls and vat of orphan tears.
Oh...derp
I keep hundreds on flash drives next to my pile of bunny skulls and vat of orphan tears.
Really? I keep mine next to my fake friend.
Do you always have to interject asininity? You don't even have access to this game.
I know there are a shit load of tanks. Adding more tanks would accomplish nothing. Holy fuck, can you take a joke?
Dude it's incredibly easy, I was amazed on how easily they turn and how maneuverable they are. It almost feels OP. I'm used to games like BF3 where planes turn slowly and you can't do many tricks, in this you can just spin around and do backflips and all kinds of shit it's amazing. So many options to getting behind someone on your tail. Mouse is also what you really wanna use, can't aim accurately when flying with just keyboard. [editline]30th August 2012[/editline] I love flying around buildings and between the pipes while spinning around all over and shit.
At first I hated the flight mechancis because having mouse to roll is awkward when you are essentually using vtol aircraft. The aircraft also have hardly any flight physics (rolling doesn't affect your turn, you can't stall, and when you dive/fly there is zero forward momentum), which makes things feel really unnatural and unintuitive to fly. However I discovered the benefit to this is that you are basically manuverable as fuck. I can easily make quick turns and instantly drop my speed/make manuvers that normally are impossible to very hard to do in other games with "better" flight mechanics. I'm pretty good now actually flying between buildings - hell I even got into a Biodome once. The physics are basic/nonexistant and the controls are odd, but they give you a level of control that allows you to quickly skirt off to the side and immediately kill your speed to float in mid air upside down, in order to suddenly start pursuing an enemy. It's also easy to fly at low altitudes and speed between base buildings with a bit of practice. The VTOL-nautre of the aircraft is extremely useful for close encounters to the ground, and the jet-nature of the aircraft is useful to making a get-away. [editline]31st August 2012[/editline]
P sure you need a key and none of these assholes care to respond to me so...
You need a beta key to get in the beta right now. It's a closed beta. Only way to get a key is if you beg for one on FB/twitter or got one from some kind thing (like PC gamer magazine or some event). They aren't handing out many codes though anymore I'm pretty sure, since they already gave out thousands and thousands already. Everyone in now either was a vet from PS1 (they got in first), or got a key from twitter/fb/pcgamer/etc or was one of the lucky few to get into the tech-test, which didn't require a code at all (it was random selection based on your computer hardware when you filled out the hardware survey on the beta signup page). Tech test people were brought in based on their PC's so the devs could test a wide range of hardware. They aren't doing any more tech-testing though since the closed beta is now in full swing. If you signed up for the beta on the website, you'll likely never get in during the closed beta, or you'll only be in for the very late portions of it. Closed beta will probably go on until they start finishing the game up feature wise (still a ton missing) and need to start balacning at large.
TR in EU3 has the entire map. What.
Flares are officially in, thank God. Won't save me from getting destroyed by Reavers (I am the worst pilot), but it'll definitely help. Apparently they won't have a cooldown either, but rather you'll have a limited amount of them.
I know there are a shit load of tanks. Adding more tanks would accomplish nothing. Holy fuck, can you take a joke?
You're not funny. At all.
You're not funny. At all.
backpedaling is a joke :downs:
You're not funny. At all.
Then it was a bad joke. I'll just lurk then because obviously asking questions or making small comments makes you rage like a five year old.
Then it was a bad joke. I'll just lurk then because obviously asking questions or making small comments makes you rage like a five year old.
If you say something stupid. Expect people to pick up on it. Christ, its one of the great past-times of facepunch.
Vanu must be home-sick.
The new territory-capping system is working well.
They keep forgetting to reset the territory ownership :/ What are they using a pre-switch snapshot or something every time the servers restart?
They keep forgetting to reset the territory ownership :/ What are they using a pre-switch snapshot or something every time the servers restart?
Territories switch hands so often it's so hard for me to tell the difference after the server had been up for an hour.
What part of me do I need to whore out, and to who? (and where)
