I just love the exp you get on big pushes with the respawn sunderer.
That wouldn't even fly with what you consider to be normal cert gain.
7 days a week with a 16 cert passive gain is 112, meaning you need to play for 888, which at 40 certs an hour is 22 hours and 12 minutes, and at 20 certs an hour is 44 hours and 24 minutes. That's a lot more than 10-15 hours.
I'm amazed there's no population imbalance lock. It's fucking weird seeing 50% of a continent be red guys.
if there was be a pop lock every time a continent was halfway conquered by a single faction this game would be a fucking disaster.
Jesus fuck everyone in this game has no idea how to fly.
Somehow while being drunk I still flew better than everyone else. And I had team-mates run into me 3 times while I was hovering.
Considering its F2P, not that long. If you buy a boost or a subscription ($15/mo), then its even less.
The cert rate is 250XP = 1 Cert. The most expensive weapons in the game cost 1000 Certs to get.
If you play actively, you can easily net 20~ certs per hour of play (100 XP for each kill, 1000xp for a facility capture, plus all the assists, etc etc). If you play partiuclarly good, 30-40 is certainly possible depending on what you are doing. You also get up to 16-ish certs offline per day, though you need to log in at least once every 24 hours to still get offline certs.
This means a night of playing for a couple of hours or so can earn you about 116 certs, which is enough for cheap weapons and about 8-ish days off from a top end weapon.
But even then, 99% of the weapons in the game aren't direct upgrades. If you want the sweet ass sniper-tank upgrade, you basically destroy your ability to do any damage to infantry. If you want the sweet ass shotgun, it's good at doing what shotguns do - excellent in close quarters 1-on-1, bad at supressing, terrible at anything beyond close quarters.
There are only 3 things I would consider upgrades in the store. Aircraft missles (since they literally add missles on top of your default weapons), 2nd MAX weapons you have by default (since they literally let you duel wield an already good gun), and the HA's missle launcher (since you can shoot their missile launchers without a lock for some really strange reason, which basically makes them work exactly the same... with optional missile lock).
I think you're under-balling it.
I tick between 60-100 certs per hour, but I am rocking the 50% exp booster. It might go down a little though when people start figuring out how to play the game though.
(also with rocket pod upgrades you lose most of your afterburner, but its a no-brainer trade)
Getting a friend and then crashing two fully-loaded galaxies into each other is way more fun than it should be.

Bonus points for going light assault so you can both survive

I require videos of this.

Sometimes during PS1 when I was pissedbored I used to drop entire gals over water.
Drowning is a slow death.

A pop lock for overpopulated factions, *cough*TR*cough*, not depending on how much you've conquered. Jeez.

Why would you pop lock the best faction.
Is c-4 good for the nc engi? also what does it replace?
Is c-4 good for the nc engi? also what does it replace?
Not sure what it replaces, but I've had tons of fun with it as light assault.
But seeing how the first level costs 200 certs to get just one c-4 (which is useless) I'm not getting it anytime soon.
Is c-4 good for the nc engi? also what does it replace?
C-4 is the best for light assault, being able to jump out of nowhere and blow up a sundy is amazing.

OKay thanks guys. What about land mines? It's frustrating lacking a way to deal with vehicles.
Having a squad of friends flying Galaxies upside down around spawn is pretty amusing to watch. I can't imagine what's going on in teammates' minds when they walk out of spawn and find two Galaxies upside down in front of the vehicle pads then immediately flip right back up and fly away like they do it everyday.

If you're in a squad, running as heavy assault takes care of most tanks. Else, I guess tank mines for the engi would be great. Might want a half decent gun if you'll be running around outside of a vehicle, and remember to drop your ammo packs! Infinite respawn on it and you get 15 certs for each resupply!

Balancing.
My friend who's really good with computers says I might be good with that. He says my CPU is at least a dual core.
Have no idea if that's good or bad but he said it was and since he's my only source for complicated computer stuff I believe him.
I had issues running it on a decent Quad core.
Your pc is fuuuuuuuuucked
at times this game feels like a odd, fuzzy dream to me
i saw a bunch of people gathering on top of a flying ship that was hovering (without actually getting into it, i presume it was full) and i could only wonder what the hell they were doing

It's fun fucking with friendly tanks and Galaxies. Sometimes I make a game out of how long I can stay on top of a Galaxy while it's hovering higher into the sky before I clip through it or it takes off. Bonus points if you have a squad of people doing it.

Why cant I join any servers? I click on my faction and then when it goes to the choose a server. their all there. but when I click on them the "continue" button is blanked out.
All the servers seem to be "low" populated too.
Red arrows pointing down mean the servers are down.

oh right, well apparantly there all down.

Servers down for patch.
The visuals in this game are impressive as hell. I especially like the staging areas, where ships are whizzing about and tanks are rolling by and all kinds of people are running around and whatnot. Feels like you're in an epic scifi movie.
I think I played for about an hour last night and got about 6 cert points. This will be slow for me.
What I like to do most is just to run with a giant army and watch as everything mobilises to the next target when the current base gets taken over.
if there was be a pop lock every time a continent was halfway conquered by a single faction this game would be a fucking disaster.
Not halfway conquered, conquest is the point. I'm talking about a population lock for population imbalances. 51% one-faction population is a horrible thing.
It really was. We did so well that I joined his squad, and just as we were about to go up again, some griefer rammed us with a truck and blew up our ride. :[
I've had people ram my liberator a few times when I was just sitting about in the air.
I'll be slowly descending to let my friend get in, suddenly *WHUMP*, the ship bolts off and starts flailing, and I get the credit for killing him and a "ram bonus" (how silly).
He didn't even make me crash either, took me a couple seconds to regain control and then got the friend to repair me before he got in.
The launch was a strange experience.
Installing a hotfix, apparently. Gonna be down for about an hour. Link
