It's like every Reaver pilot has bought Rocket Pods already.
AA turrets maybe - AA maxes? Tiny little things you can barely spot that can down a scythe in a few shots? I'm flying at 700 meters up, AA should not be able to do that.
I just honestly think you're a terrible pilot judging by everything you've ever posted about with regards to the scythe. I've only died once to a AA max and that was because I was hovering rocket spamming and he was pretty damn close, enough to really hear the chugchugchug.

Fly a scythe into an area where you can see say, one stream of anti-air fire. Now try and evade it before it kills you. You CAN'T. [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] Also, the XP return on vehicles is ridiculous. You get roughly the same amount of XP for killing a person as you do for blowing up a tank or shooting down an aircraft.
I do that every damn time I fly it. AA is inaccurate as fuck now, with a nerfed projective speed. Easy to dodge with a little wiggling. Not to mention I haven't put a single cert into the scythe yet. [editline]24th November 2012[/editline]
You get roughly the same amount of XP for killing a person as you do for blowing up a tank
You get roughly 500 exp per fully crewed tank. [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] Infact the only thing right now that can reliably make me GTFO is a lock on missile. Which I don't have any flares to counter yet.
Another good way to survive AA missiles is by having high health or by flying behind cover like trees and structures. One missile takes away about half of my schytes health. So i never go into combat without high health. If anyone of you keep dying when flying you are simply not paying attention to your surroundings. Planning your attack and exploiting the enemies blind spots is going to give you a big advantage. It is just wierd that AA canons suck so much. Not only are they bad at shooting down aircraft, they are also so damn easy to destroy with an aircraft.
Just seen the TV Spot here in Germany, the narrator's voice is incredibly unfitting. But that's the good thing about Pro7 I guess. More advertising = more new people = more easy kills. Is the TV Spot also shown in other countries?
Close/medium range Infiltrator is a lot of fun, currently using the Nyx for maximum tacticool
I'm going to say it right now, MAX is insane when you get a good engi behind you. [t]http://i.imgur.com/iASQs.jpg[/t]
But... they're not essential for doing indoor facility capture.
Bullshit. Post a video of yourself managing 1:1 HA's/LA's with shotguns indoors. He who hath yon boomstick wins. That's not even disputable in terms of DPS, a shotgun drops a person at almost twice the speed of the best stock carbine at point blank. You need a shotgun, or you simply do not win against guys with shotguns. No amount of skill is going to make up for situations where it's you and another guy on an indoor point, and you don't have a 200ms deathspitter.
Bah, fighters feel so useless without rocket pods. "Sidegrade," my ass. [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] Liberator with a Dalton on it is fantastic if you have a competent pilot. I got five functionally retarded lib pilots in a row, then some dude abandoned his Dalton'd Lib at the warp gate, so I commandeered it. Flew high and slow, and just tilted the belly of the ship to whichever direction I saw my gunner's cannon trying to point in. Helped him get about 12 kills before we were intercepted. It was, like, my second time flying a Liberator! Why is that so hard for people? :|
I just fly a liberator like I do a normal fighter with large swoops at stuff that'll kill me it's a bad thing and i'm retarded is the 100 cert VS sniper rifle an improvement over the default one? NC infiltrators snipe my shit up in 1 shot and I gotta 3 shot those punks it sucks [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] what the fuck there are ram bonuses? why would you encourage that whyyyyy
Dalton or Zepher?
Bah, I love the testing system but the 8 hour wait is killing me. So far I've tested a new launcher and a new sniper but there's so much more I want to try out. I'm not upgrading any weapons needlessly, I want to figure out what I want my main loadouts to be first.

well yeah that's cool and fine but people get bonuses for ramming their shitty fighter into yours which is lame fukin japs is the testing system members only?
Is there any way to safely eject from an aircraft in the air (other than using the light assaults jetpacks)?
Best thing about the lib is how sturdy it is. Last night my friend said there was reaver trailing me, so I just lowered my speed to like 4 and made the bastard run in to me and explode, giving me the kill with me only taking tiny amount of damage. Fun stuff.
This game could really use some cars with mounted guns like in Planetside 1.
God them VS Scythes are so fun to fly, the only thing I hate about them is every time I die it seems to be because of some halfwit who only just started playing flies directly into me.
This game could really use some cars with mounted guns like in Planetside 1.
Same here, a Jeep of some description would be very useful.
I think the NC Character Selection music is a perfect representation of the path this game has taken. It was absolutely horrible at first, but SOE has been very receptive to criticism and continuously changed it until there was a great end product. Obviously they have a lot of work still to do with PS2, but it seems to be headed in a fairly positive direction. [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] what i was trying to say is nc best music best faction all factions
It's too bad NC is full of the worst players in the game on almost every server. Plus Our weapons seem to have more downsides than TR or VS weapons. We have slower rates of fire, generally higher spread over prolonged fire and higher recoil just for slightly higher damage per bullet? I hate to sound like I'm moaning that TR and VS are OP but having tried both of them it's pretty obvious that their weapons are way better in most situations. The only things we NC really have going for us is our vehicles and kick ass colour scheme.
My boyfriend can add me as a friend in-game but then he cant invite me to a squad or anything, it's like i dont exist on the servers. Anyone got any ideas? [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] Ok great so i made a new soldier, added him and now i still dont exist, and he can't remove either of my dysfunctional soldiers from his friends list. Cant be arsed with this game.
Squad function sucks balls right now. You can't promote a leader if you're the leader, and adding people is hella retarded. [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] Just both join a public squad together.

Plus, the lower IQ means they are easier to lead. Just yell at them in prox voice or the chat, then once 3-5 vehicles are going the same direction, the entire army follows them.
The certification point gain rate and/or item prices feels a bit painful. I mean, it's probably okay for "dedicated" players who don't mind grinding for four or five hours a day ad infinitum, but I've never been much more than a casual gamer. I've pumped about 15 hours into this game over the past three days, but that's because I was off school and work, and I was really into wicked new game! Once the "new game" high has worn a bit, I'll put maybe an hour or two a day into this. At that rate, it'll take me months, or longer, just to unlock most of the basic upgrades for one class! With how many different classes, vehicles, weapons, and general upgrades there are available, there's no way I'll ever be able to unlock all the stuff I'd really like to play with. I get that they want to force the player to specialize in a specific role, but I can't help but feel they've done it to too great an extent. Woe be to casual players!
They need to just add more stuff that give you XP. Like being a gal pilot right now sucks because you will never make any XP for doing it. Sundy's only make XP if you have AMS or ammo or etc, otherwise they are totally worthless XP wise. Me firing twoards enemies in teh distance keeping them at bay using my high-ammo gun doesn't get me any XP unless I kill/assist, which is retarded because it arguably keeps more people at bay than outright killing does. Still, this game is pretty different from CoD/BF3, in the sense that you aren't meant to unlock everything for every class after 100ish hours. You are supposed to dedicate to one specific class or two, and spend your 100-200 hours for the lifetime you play the game on those classes, which is partially why the cert prices can get so high for some things. I feel like theres a better way to go about encouraging this though. Planetside 1 for example didn't let you do anything till you certed into it, which effectively made it impossible to play 6 different classes. You couldn't even use tanks unless you had certifications for it. It made people specilize a lot more into roles they wanted, but it was a downside because if you ended up certing into infiltrating but the situation you were in called for a role change, you couldn't do anything. And that game wasn't even F2p or anything, it was a standard $15/mo MMORPG that you bought for $50 on store shelves. [editline]24th November 2012[/editline]
Is there any way to safely eject from an aircraft in the air (other than using the light assaults jetpacks)?
Theres a cert for the scythe at least that lets you eject from it like a gal, where you take no damage on fall I don't think it's very useful though, considering you have to give up flares to do it

Our rifles 2 hit basically everything, and our pistols are some of the best in the game. I was playing infil and snuck into a sniper nest a few vs scum had setup, and i whipped out my gauss rifle and headshotted one, switched to my pistol, unloaded a mag into his face, killed him, and knifed the last one to death. And I only lost my shields in that fight NC master race

Also playing NC makes me want to blare the Halo 2 soundtrack for some reason. It just FITS.
I just realized that they kept the resource boost in for Premium players... That's pretty bad.
They need better servers.
