Well I rolled an NC character to try them post launch.
I never realised magriders were so flimsy, nor I don't feel that they're op. I could hit them reasonably at engagement range in a vanny and each shot hurts like hell.
Reaver is fun aswell, but the rocket pods are substandard compared to the vanu ones I felt.

Nope.
My main used to be a VS Infil with a laser sight, but now they took that away. I just play a heavy assault and I find it great fun.
drove my sunderer behind a few tanks after leaving the warpgate tonight.
ended up in one of the most fun sieges ive ever experienced when the vanufags of Helios decided they wanted tawrich from the NC.
i just sat there in the vehicle spawn room franticly repairing a single tank, my sundy and a plethora of MAX's against the vanu horde. it looked like we were winning but then they restarted the server.
In other news, that latest hotfixed helped a lot.
If things carried on like they were for a few more days then they would seriously risked losing a load of players.
I'm expecting they'll sort out some form of compensation for all the lag, rollbacks, crashes and broken boosters.

Why would you ever exclusively stick to one class, especially one that's arguably the least useful out of the lot when you can hop around to suit the needs of your team?

Because you feel like it, and it's your time you're investing.
pfft, Vanu snipers are weak. Every time I feel one shot hit me, I just scope in and take off the dinosaur's head.
They are super strong under a competitant sniper.
You can't go vanu and expect to just be a dude who sits back 500m and headshot people all day.
But if you get a guy who moves around, and engages enemies between 50-200m, he will completely dominate with the vanu sniper. It has a faster TTK than the bolt actions by far... the only thing that saves the bolt action rifles are that if you do land a headshot (which is much more unrealiable in this game due to the very jittery infantry movements), your TTK is instant.
Plus you can't really use a bolt action very well in close quarters while the vanu sniper works damn well.

because it feels lame as fuck to constantly be swapping around and be at the mercy of gear terminals and sunderers.
fuck the class system btw.
Any outfits for TR on US East?
edit: Think I'm on Jaeger.
The faction imbalance really is a problem sometimes. I know that's what multiple continents are for, but jesus..

Does anyone know if you stop gaining xp if you constantly kill the same dude over and over? I'm pretty sure you all know where I'm going with this.

The other day on my server there was a continent like that where the Vanu controlled literally every single point possible, aside from the 2 warpgates for NC and TR. I went and got some food, came back 30 minutes later and TR had the top half of it conquered. It really doesn't take much to turn something like that around
Planetside 2 does really need some Rule 34.
They need to make it more apparent when you're being locked on. Like a loud beeping sound or something, 99% of the time i die in my aircraft from an air-to-air or ground-to-air missile, i have no idea that i was even being locked on to because the red "LOCKED" blends in with my aircraft and unless i'm looking directly at where it pops up i can't even see it

I wasn't talking about the territory. The continent population is the main issue.
I think I made the only black character on my server
Racists
I hate it how anything AA in this game costs ~1k certs.
if its the infantry AA launcher, A2A rockets or the MAX dual AA guns. something is wrong when your team is getting blown up by planes and there's nothing you can do about it.
besides hoping for few decent pilots who can survive up there for over 10 seconds.

accidentally blindfiring in close quarters using the NC default sniper is so satisfying though
I know this is a noob question, but how do you blow up generators and shiz? Do you need to be an infiltrator or something specific in order to blow them up? Cuz i know shooting them doesn't do anything, i've seen people just walk up to them and a few seconds later it beings the process of destruction
Hold E.

dem infiltrator females
would be nice to be able to see further. i hate flying around and then suddenly have 30 aircrafts pop up which i could have clearly avoided if i could've seen them before hand

One of many things that should have been addressed before they launched the game.

Jesus CHRIST that's an ass bigger than me.
Has anyone tried applying the extended clip side-grade to one of their cyclers?
I'm currently using dual mercies on the TR MAX with each having 50 bullets in a clip. I was thinking that if I apply the 50% extra ammo upgrade to just one of the cyclers I will be able to hold down a position without reloading. So the one arm would be reloading while the upgraded arm still has about 25 bullets left.
I was just wondering if anyone has done this yet and if they think the 500 cert price is worth it. If not, I will probably put the 500 certs on an extended clip for one of my bursters. You can never have enough burster ammo.

Is that by chance Genudine? (not sure if it's the exact spelling)
If so, I'm on Vanu there and Amerish changes a lot.
We'll take control like that and then we'll leave which gives NC the time to get it, rinse and repeat.
Amerish changes daily, Indar is nearly always equal between the three factions and Esamire (again, not sure about the spelling) is a bit like Amerish too.
The balance seems fine to me.
