Planetside 2 Thread v2 - Beta floodgates open GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY - Games

My game crashes when I click play for the 2nd time after it said "max population reached" the 1st time :v:

Also when I press the finish button on the character creation nothing happens.

I had a broadcast before they're trying to fix the growing pain in the ass.

Oh my, just saw my first outfit recruitment spammer in warpgate.

Everything for me runs fine for about 10 minutes and then I desync from the server and everyone is just running in place.

I understand it's a beta, I get that, but when I have to set all of my settings to the lowest possible and I still get less than 10 frames in medium-large battles then it's just ridiculous, I would love to TEST the beta, but I can't do that when I can't even PLAY.

I managed to have a really long game that went ok. I had tons of fun I must say when this game works it is amazing. I mean you just look in the sky as you are running to assault a bio lab and it is like a cut scene from a game but you are actually playing it seeing all those air vehicles fighting it out and then you look back down and run to the nearest cover from sniper and tank fire whilst enemy air swoops by doing runs hoping to get a lucky shot.

Haha I killed a friendly air unit with my droppod, and the game thought I was shooting him.

My game keeps crashing. Disabling anti-aliasing only improved my FPS from 5 to 20.

I have a 2.80 Ghz i7, a 450 GTS and 4 gigs of RAM and I can play it on all high with a 40 fps average

Flying is surprisingly easy, it's pretty much identical to Crysis' VTOL flight mechanics. Already done some fun acrobatic stuff and shot down a Reaver and Liberator. Then I got disconnected.

Wish I had a joystick.

Where is that file where you can change the view distance.

Now i keep getting kicked and when i click play it just sits there on the same screen doing nothing.

Anybody else noticed the lack of players now? Earlier I logged on and there were hundreds at spawn now theres more like 1 or 2 people?

probably because all the isseus with logging in and crashes [editline]25th August 2012[/editline] server is at max pop so I guess everyone just spread out a bit.

Really hope they don't start instancing the servers, that'll piss me off.

What do the exclamation marks on the map mean? I thought they ment that a big battle was going on there, but when I got to one it was just being fought over by 10 guys or something.

Well looks like I won't be on the sidelines for long, SOE finaly got in touch with me and have "escelated my petition" so i'm guessing in about 30 minutes or an hour i should be able to start downloading. So if I actualy get on before the test shuts down, see you on the battlefield NC. :v:
