I kinda wanna cert into AMS even though I don't plan on using sundy/vehicles any time soon (I like being a grunt man for now). Just because when my outfit isn't online, I can literally just drown in XP
You must be really short to drown in sundy xp, its only 2xp per thats 50 people just to match a single kill.
I want dogfights to look like this:
(sound's a bit fucked, so turn your volumne down a step or two if you wear headphones)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfAnv4t6--U&feature=related
We already have the graphics, sounds and bullshit maneuverability, all we need now is blood and competent pilots.
Imo the dogfights in planetside 2 are more complex and require more skill than il-2. The way the up and downward thrusting affects turning/maneuvers makes my head hurt. The amount of control the fighters give you in all directions is ridiculous. At first it looks like the way to win is just to circle turn faster but I got into a dogfight with a really good TR pilot for 10 minutes.
How does someone even manage to do this?

If anyone plays TR Waterson, I'd really like to join a competent, goal-oriented squad/outfit or what have you.

Same.
I think the saying goes "A miserable free man is better off than a contented slave"
It is like this, and not what you said because
A: Your comparison is disjointed in that you compare wealth to a happy state of mind, albeit that of a slave. However, the slave is still cared for and doesn't have to worry about feeding himself.
B: The correct statement compares two ideologies of the two factions, the NC puts a value on freedom above all else. Even if a person is worse off, there is no limit to what they can achieve, whereas a TR citizen is under authoritarian rule and while enjoy the relative peace and prosperity, they are no longer masters of their own destiny.
So I conclude that you are wrong on all counts of both TR and NC ideology and that you should undergo self-exile as a male VS infiltrator.
wow, you need to chill a bit, rocking that jesus on your pic man.
It was some NC saying and I had to translate it myself because my game was still switched to German, so you might be right about that translation, still, NC is best.
You must be really short to drown in sundy xp, its only 2xp per thats 50 people just to match a single kill.
I think also if you're premium you don't get additional xp from sundy spawns since it's 2 xp per spawn and when that's rounded it's still 2xp.
In any case how many has spent any real money on the game yet? I'm a sucker for F2P games but so far I've only bought premium since it boosts my actual cert gain, I haven't spent the glod I got from it either. There are so many weapons I wanna buy but not a single one seems really worth the money, also 1k certs is like a week of farming.
I really need a invite to US East 01 (What ever the name of sever) Facepunch outfit.
Is it worth to buy station cash here in europe with steam wallet? I heard many people complain that they did not receive anything?
[editline]27th November 2012[/editline]
Fuck it I caved in and bought 1000 station cash, I love this game.
I wish I understood the eldritch mechanisms by which spawn rooms turn on or off.
Having a deployed sunderer isn't anywhere near as lucrative as it's cracked up to be.
I really wish they upped vehicle kill XP.
You just shot down a flying death machine with 1/4 of your health left?
Have 50xp.
I really need a invite to US East 01 (What ever the name of sever) Facepunch outfit.
Oh right. Do we have outfits, and are they server-bound or? In that case are there any Lithcorp TR (EU) outfits?
why does no-one use the thing which allows sunderers to penetrate enemy shields and magic energy fields?
Because any asshole can just buy a throwaway gal and drop everyone on the base instead. The shield thing costs certs and takes the utility slot (which is much better saved for AMS)
Also, I am on Mattherson, NC. I am always inviting people to The Ascended. They are semi-serious, they don't do practices or anything but they do expect you to follow orders to the best of your ability. Mics are not necessary but are suggested. PM me your in-game name if you want in.

Yuuup. They really need to give tankers like me an incentive to actually hunt other tanks rather than just farm hapless infantry all day.
This game sure has some amazing moments.
After the beta, I started playing Vanu and when I logged on today, I got the rather pleasant surprise of seeing most of the map being taken over by us and went straight for the remaining hexagon before we were right up in TR's face (which ironically was the faction I played as during the beta). Of course, driving across the entire map on a flash proved to be a difficult challenge and I had as much as gone right out of the warp gate before I found myself stuck sideways between some kind of crystal and a rock, making the noise of a meat grinder carving up a landslide, whereas I could not escape the vehicle because "all entrances are blocked".
After logging out and back in, I just opened the map and found a quick "deploy" option in the map, 10 seconds later I found myself flying toward the ground and crashing into a tower before jumping into a pit where the laws of gravity seemed to be irrelevant. Once there, I found my faction in a great struggle against the TR grunts running over a hill as we tried capturing the facility. The enemies seemed to be spawning from a house on top of the hill and tried running at us in lower quantities. I did what came natural to me and clicked on the red guys until numbers appeared on my screen. It didn't take long before the entire facility was ours and we could proceed, with our rather enormous group of infantry, MAX units, tanks and aircrafts.
Moving on was unlike anything I had ever seen before in any game ever. Running along large groups of players, all moving in for a single goal, flashes roaring beside me and bulky tanks moving after. As I saw some mosquitoes moving in, I tried to hide, but poked my head out to see our scythes flying above and taking them out by our sheer numbers. After that we moved over hills, hiding from the tanks' fire behind rocks and proceeded until the giant dome appeared before us, surrounded by all kinds of ground vehicles and various aircrafts popping out above.
Of course, I had to stop after a while, because I was watching this huge battle in 5 frames per second! I am running with all kinds of recommended options: flora turned off, shadows not appearing, fixed rendering distance, etc., but it seems this has to be the game my reliable laptop simply can't handle at an at least remotely enjoyable frame rate, even if I use .ini files to lower the settings.
Are there any FP groups on US West servers?
Do we have a facepunch clan outfit thingy?
Edit: I see in OP.
Since we've had 4 of the same question at the same page I'm guessing we don't, I'd like some more info about outfits though.
1200xp per galaxy, 800xp per sunderer, 500xp per tank/lib, 200xp per fighter, 100xp per person.

And up the health of air vehicles.
Why can you deconstruct vehicles in the middle of battle?
I ran into a group of 5 tanks and when each of them almost died from my reaver they deconstructed it, denying me xp and giving them their resources back.
This is also happening to air vehicles also and you get no xp for the galaxy you just chased down only to have it vanish in mid air.
My game updated today and now when I click play it starts the loading screen and everything then a little ways through it closes out and redirects me to a website that says:
Game Error G37
Malfunction:
We're sorry, there was a problem with the last action, can you please try again later?

Let's hope they patch it up, so you'd have to be not under fire for about 30 seconds to deconstruct or so.
Also, I am going for Lithcorp NC again now, anyone playing NC on that server on here?
Tanks don't stand a fucking chance against ESF's.
I've seen a Saron Magrider make Mosquito pilots shit themselves. Sounds like a problem for Vanguards and Prowlers with their inferior secondary weapons.

That is a server load bug.
Just buying a tank and not even having the engine warm up yet before you get instantly pounded into the dirt by a Reaver is a HUGE piss-off. I don't blame them for doing it and I do it too. Tanks don't stand a fucking chance against ESF's.
The main problem with air right now is that you get no reward for doing AA since the aircraft is going to run away before it dies. When I attack a amp station I only have to deal with one AA gun most of the time since nobody wants to do this unrewarding job. But if all AA guns or even the ones on a single tower were manned there would be no hope for anything to come close to the station.
Also AA maxes and skyguards are very deadly against ESF's but not so much against a liberator.
I'm wondering if I should buy thermal optics for the default mosquito gun or save it for some other gun I might get later. :/
Do I want to grab the burst fire rifle for medic and upgrade it or wait years to get 1k certs for a new weapon altogether?
I'm wondering if I should buy thermal optics for the default mosquito gun or save it for some other gun I might get later. :/
I'd recommend NV optics, personally! The range is about the same, it makes it just as easy to spot targets, and it costs 1/4 the certs!
Also, NV works fantastically with the anti-infantry guns for the ESF's. Those are 100 certs each, I believe, so for 150 certs you can get a weapon specialized towards ruining infantrymen's day, with the "make all bad dudes glow" feature added, as opposed to paying 200 certs for doing the same basic thing to your primary weapon, which is pretty poor at taking out infantry.
I would love to use a big Anti-Tank Rifle as a Heavy Assault like in Red Orchestra 2.
