woah, is something supposed to happen if you fly into the glowing thing at the center of the warpgate?
i mean aside from losing all control of the vehicle as it floats upwards to the skybox and flips around while the world evaporates bit by bit beneath me

Just aesthetics.
I think I've found my preferred role in this game
I just go engineer and stay on Max's dicks so hard all game that they can just stand there and take on like 50 guys
So far I've only put points into my tool gun and some armor so I can stay by them longer
[editline]27th November 2012[/editline]
Also it's like the one thing I can do in big fights when I literally get 9 FPS
Me and a couple of friends decided to do a biker gang kind of thing. we would bike to a point, kill some people, then leave. another outfit got all mad and started teamkilling us. our weapons got locked before theirs, even though they started shooting at us
fucking bullshit
and thus PS2 gang wars began

It's a fun thing to do! I used to be MAX all the time, and got frustrated that nobody was ever around to heal and drop ammo. So now I play MAX and engineer, to help my fat buddies out.
I love this gun I've mounted on my flash! It's so fun running past the enemy tanks, and they ignore you because you're just a tiny little flash. But then you take down half their health and they start to get worried. Also planting tank mines behind them is fun.
Does the compensator help your accuracy at all when scoped in? Or is it just for when firing at the hip?
I really do hate how engie/medic are blatently "OP" in their XP gain compared to other classes.
Try rollling as an infiltrator or light assault or max all day, you'll never get a fraction of the XP that you can by doing agressive revives/heals/rearms/repairs
Like, you almost get as much XP on a revive as you do a kill.
I mean I like that they want to put emphasis on support roles verus raw kills, but that's the big issue - if you do medic/engie support you drown in XP but doing support with any other class or using any other class as good as a good medic/engie gets you jack shit. They need to make it so each class can reach the levels of XP that medics/engies usually do in big battles.
one by one, and the occasional packets from earning medals.
So far I've earnt 2600 certs. I've got my magrider where I want it to be and some upgrades for my heavy/
I'm going to take a break from the game for a week or something so I don't overplay it.
ffs ive only made 308 certs and ive been playing as much as i can since release...
although being red green color weak makes shooting TR a pain sometimes...
Does the compensator help your accuracy at all when scoped in? Or is it just for when firing at the hip?
Compensator ruins firing from the hip. It drops the verticle recoil(how much it moves up), the foregrip dros the horizontal recoil(side to side).
I got the CAS30 tank buster for my lib, and now I feel like the large, fat brother of the A-10. A full clip is, if they all hit, able to:
Lower a liberator to 1%. The fire that catches almost instantaneously destroys it after, and oddly you only get assist points, Take ~75% off of a sunderer and a Heavy Tank, deal ~90% damage to a Lightning, and destroy an enemy aircraft. Seeing as a whole clip takes 2 seconds to unload and each shot cycle fires two bullets, the target barely has any time to react before you have your whole clip unto it.

Yeah, looks like we've had the weaker population percentage these past few days....
I haven't seen any PhysX Effects.
I might've missed something, but does any have any explanation/fix for the random crashes that I'm still experiencing? No error messages are saved, the game just crashes, usually when doing things in the menu, spawning, and such things.
This is a video of them; there's a 'GPU Physics' option in the options menu as well, and it's blacked out for me, so maybe that's it.

I agree, but I don't think that's anywhere near as pressing as the issue of air zergs being effectively unstoppable. I'd rather see big things like AA and facility defense incentivized before worrying about individual infantry roles.
Or, put another way, nobody's going to stop playing L/HA because it's fun.

Yeah why does that option get greyed out? I have a GTX 680 which should support PhyX, yet the option still isn't clickable. Is it something I have to enable in the nvidia control panel or something?
I've seen reports of it being disabled after beta. Not sure why.

pretty much anything related to ultra graphics have been disabled.
pretty much anything related to ultra graphics have been disabled.
Well fuck.
So I downloaded this to try it out, go to create an account and ZenX2 had already been taken. It pisses me off when that happens.
Considering the game only uses like 40% CPU due to optimization problems, running ultra graphics wouldn't be....ideal.
They should at least give us the option though. If I want to permanently integrate my graphics card into my motherboard (see: blowtorching 101), I should be able to!

Most pc's are held back by the CPU as it tries to render 100's of people at the same time. Unparking any cores you have can help a lot, Raised my FPS by about 10.
I kept getting some G37 error, so I tried verifying my files and it found six messed ones, fixed them, and then it happened again
I kept getting some G37 error, so I tried verifying my files and it found six messed ones, fixed them, and then it happened again
G37 errors are serverside (hehe, serverside) errors. Go raid your fridge or something.
Ok I validated again and now 122 files failed. What the fuck
Now I get to download 3GB of files that are mysteriously messed up, whee.
Codeforge confirmed that the game isn't running like it's supposed to. They have a team of programmers trying to fix the cpu useage problem.
Even still, unparking your CPU's helps a lot.

According to the launcher, the servers have gone down for a couple of hours. Could that be the issue?

How does one unpark their CPU?
[editline]28th November 2012[/editline]
G37 means no server connection. The servers are currently down for maintenance.
Servers should have went down 50 minutes ago, and should be up for another hour and 10.
