That feeling when you kill the two crew in a battle tank as they repair

THIS PAGE BELONGS TO THE TERRAN REPUBLIC
Also I got a tank tower on top of a flash in the vehicle preview but I cannot take pictures in fullscreen.
Still wondering this
If you buy lets say a nighthawk for a heavy assault, can you also use it for light assault, medic and engineer? They can all use it but I'm wondering if I need one for each class(that would be stupid as hell). Also how does it work with cert upgrades for said weapon?
The Command Comm. Channel cert is awesome. I was able to form up a tank convoy and push the TR and Vanu so far back that we'll actually conquer Indar.
Jaegar server btw
Yesterday we had an intense 3 faction fight for a biolab, which we eventually won. Turns out the NC had a sundy right below the lab. As soon as the shields went back on, an entire platoon was trapped down there, and they just kept respawning.
What are these EXP bonus you sometimes get? Example: someone spawned from your sunderer (+15%) and it gives me more overall exp this way.
Base defenses gives you an xp bonus
you get 5% bonus for defending an outpost, 10% for a tower and 15% for a main facility
You actually can end up earning a lot more doing defense than offense if you are agressive, but nobody actually realizes that you get 15%+ xp when you defend because they don't communicate it at all to the player other than "+15%" whenever you earn XP
If you are talking about the 40mm, it's a dedicated anti-infantry round that does almost nothing to tanks. Against infantry though it's incredibly effective with good aim. Very low splash.
If you are talking about the bulldog though, it completely rapes
Two bulldogs on a sundy are extremely deadly. Run a sundy with that up to an enemy deployed sundy with lots of troops near, and you will completely decimate everyone and the sundy. No surviors.
It also shreds lightnings and does decent damage to MBT's if you have to of them constantly bolting and circling it.
Once you have an ESF on your tail they are impossible to shake.
You can turn, they'll turn at about the same rate with you. If you slow down, they instantly slow down.
Literally nothing you can do.
I've never been shaken off someone, and I've never been able to get out of range of somebody chasing me.
[editline]28th November 2012[/editline]
Also the NC's reaver cannon is way too powerful, downs a scythe in ten successful hits.
If any outfit needs a private TeamSpeak channel, I can hook you up.

Use the turbo and try to fly near buildings, if shit gets rough set max speed to somewhere where there are a lot of friendlies. That shakes off most pilots by either having them crash into something trying to follow you or losing the chase and having to find another target.

Most pc's are held back by the CPU as it tries to render 100's of people at the same time. Unparking any cores you have can help a lot, Raised my FPS by about 10.
Will this work for an intel i5 2500k? It says i7 in the article.

Next time I'm being chased while in a reaver (read: next time I boot the game up), I'm so gonna full afterburn right through one of the really long roofed bridges to shake the pursuer.
Oh man this is so fun.
Playing as Terran, just took over a NC base, HUGE armoured convoy head out to the next area but the NC have a gigantic force of defence holding on a big long bridge. Our forces stop on one end, theirs on the other. Me in a tank, voice in my head says "fuck it", I go across on my own end up literally mowing down 14 enemy NC before reaching the other end and seeing like 19 tanks aiming at me :v:
It's like my teammates just doesn't want me to get kills, I keep getting weapon locked when people sprint up to enemies right before i shoot them
Common NC tactics: "If I run in front of the guy shooting at the enemy maybe it'll help his aim"
It seems like the way this game is played is for each faction to completely flood one of the continents and just camp on the other teams. 50% Terran on one, 55% Vanu on another, and 53% NC on the third. There's no fair fight on any continent. The devs oughta, like, do something about that. Enforce limits, to keep shit fair and fun and balanced. It's not entertaining to completely steamroll the enemy because you so vastly outnumber them that you can just camp their spawns, nor is it fun to have that happen to you.

That's how it worked in PS1 except that it naturally balanced out due to having a large number of continents to switch over too and not having footholds, without this, in becomes this crazy never-ending clusterfuck.
I actually kinda feel there are too many territories, tons of identical bases that whomever is stronger can just pool from and wreck everything.
Seriously, has nobody here bought a gun that can be used by several classes? I'm wondering if you can use the same gun for several classes assuming said classes can actually use that type of weapon.

Only one across all classes is shotgun.
Engineer and LA use Carbines. Rest have a class specific weapon.

Well, I main Engineer and upgraded my Carbine first.
This way I can use the upgraded weapon with Light-Assault aswell, when I feel the need to switch classes.
But I rarely do.
Mostly just Engineer and Heavy Assault, but seeing as there's a huge different between both classes, I couldn't imagine a weapon that'd suit both roles. Except for a shotgun. So..

Don't forget pistols.
I have noticed that many places look exactly the same. But i guess designing it like this makes sure that new players don't as easily get so lost. But when everything starts to always feel familiar it kinda makes everything so predictable and repetitive.
I want to see more variation. New textures, buildings, fortifications and most importantly new designs of the biolabs and other large structures. This would add alot more depth to not only to the gameplay itself, but also the aesthetic feel of the game.
Man I want my sunderer to be a big fucking tank. Anti infantry grenade launcher 60mm + one 40mm anti tank gun? or two grenade launchers 60mm?

If you want sundy explosions all around don't bother getting anything but the bulldog
Everything else is pesant food compared to it. Sure the nade launcher doesn't have range at all.
But imagine this: before assaulting a techlab, roll up 4-5 sundies with bulldogs manning all guns and just launch artillery into the sky twoard the base. It's pretty much never ending carpet bombs. Sure most of your hits wont do anything at that range on an invidiual basis. But having 4-5 sundies doing it? Inescapable doom for the reciever of this).

I can't imagine this will be a thing later on down the line.
PS1 avoided this by making it so you had 10-12 conts, and when you captured a cont you actually locked it to your faction and owned all the warpgates. Which meant you had multiple front lines going on between 2-4 conts, while the others simply remained under control by another faction.
AKA capturing a cont actually -captured- it.
This isn't possible in PS2 at the moment simply because we only have 3 large conts instead of 10-12 medum/large sized conts. Once they add more conts in, we can probably start to see some *real* cont-locking mechanics put in place.
And the great thing is they can improve what was wrong with cont locking in PS1 by doing this. Problem with PS1 was you could only capture conts in semi-linear sequence, so that meant everyone enevitably only fought on 3-5 conts the whole time. With PS2, they could set it up so each cont is always connected to at least 3 other conts (one per warpgate), which means it's less like a linear progression and more like a non-linear web of conts you can capture (kind of like what we have with the hex system versus just capturing via lattice lines). Doing that means one week we have battles raging between 2-3 conts, but a couple of weeks or a month later we might have the fight go on between 2-3 completely different fronts.
So ya. I had quite a few moments when on TR side. For one, on Indar on Sunday, we had a big convoy set up going around capturing as many NC territories as we can. I was in a Sunderer when suddenly the driver stops it right above a cliff. In my mind, I am saying to myself 'Please tell me he is not going to drive it off'. Guess what happens? Drives it right off the cliff, killing the both of us.
And then there was last night playing Infiltrator while trying to capture on of the biolabs. NC defending it heavily on one side, so I decide to drop in and see if I can sneak in some kills. Suddenly, someone decloaks in front of me, and I freak out thinking it was a NC infiltator, shooting him multiple times with my sniper rifle. Turns out my squad-mate had the same idea as I did and decided to decloak in front of me.....

But I still want to know if you can use the same bought weapon on several classes. I'm thinking of buying a shotgun and it would be rad on my engineer, medic and light assault.

I haven't tried yet, but I am 95% sure, that it is possible.
I bought a scope for my Engineer carbine and can use it on the LA carbine aswell.
Might aswell work with weapons-Classes.

Oh, so I can use the same scope on multiple weapons?

like dis if u cry evrytim
How's the optimisation so far? Not kept up to date. Some places I'd get 60 but then I'd get around 30.
