glorious TR pick one
Well you only mentioned one option.
Well you only mentioned one option.
I will admit, you beat me there
Which faction has the coolest MAX suits? It seems like TR's dual-minigun class would be pretty awesome, and the shotgun on the NC's MAX is a friggen monster at close and medium ranges. The Vanu MAX doesn't seem as strong, though. Its machine gun feels slow and innaccurate. I actually get more kills with its secondary weapon than its primary. I haven't put more than ten minutes or so into any factions' MAX's, though, so I'm hardly an expert! Which is the most versatile, in your opinion?
Haven't tried the other faction's MAX but the TR one is tearing shit apart
Finally a definitive answer. So what shotgun do you guys recommend (for glorious TR)? I was thinking of the nighthawk
As far as I can tell, they're all the same shit with regards to accuracy and damage per shot, the difference is just: -Automatic one: shortest time to kill a fool, capacity is a problem until upgraded (100 certs for 4 extra shells) since it takes 3 clean hits to drop a person up close and you're never only running into 2 dudes in a contested area -High capacity one: notably slower TTK but still an improvement on other guns at close ranges, may be easier to use since it's semiautomatic and you'll be controlling single shots, still needs the mag upgrade to actually gain the benefit of the extra capacity, since 12 shells = four dead guys per reload -Fast reloading one: no
Is it just me or does the Vanu MAX remind you of these guys
is membership worth it? have a $15 station cash card here, dunno whether to get the station cash flat out or get a month of membership guessing the membership isn't worth it if you only buy a month of it, don't plan on renewing it
are they working to fix it at all?
unlikely, recent update did bring improvements but not many
Any beta drivers for ATI? Can't find any...trouble navigating their website.
i dont reccomend going past 12.8 with ati drivers, artifacts kept randomly appearing on my gun so i basically couldnt see until i restarted the game tried beta and 12.10, both did the same thing
Got the TR T16 LMG with front grip which limits horizontal recoil on a rifle with hardly any vertical recoil, i just have to point and click at anything within 100 meters.
The Vanu MAX's AT weapon doesn't have dropoff which probably makes it the best at range

Also how bad is the recoil on the automatic and the high-cap? I could go with auto if it doesn't put your aim up in the sky and make you miss the last 2 shots, I often prefer semi-auto since I have control of where the bullets actually go.

I love the canyons around NC warpgate on Indar they've saved me countless times from shitty pilots tailing my Reaver. What's that, dumbass you've got me locked on with your stupid air to air missiles? Well too fucking bad you flew into the canyon wall, idiot. You might have paid to kill other pilots easier but you still can't fly for shit.
I thought it wouldnt be hard getting a decent bottom gunner with all my other friends busy. Turns out I was wrong. But its still fun to dump people in the ocean when they start shooting everything at our warpgate. I how ever did find a new way to stop missiles. Step 1: enjoy gun vs gun dogfights until some dickhead with a2a comes along Step 2: notice missile lock Step 3: launch flares and then press page down to bring up vehicle screen Step 4: deconstruct vehicle in mid-air and in the time you are falling try to think of ways vehicle combat isn't pay2win. Step 5: when you make a nice crater with your body then realize you would've died faster in your ESF

I use the automatic because I was sick of having situations during caps where I got taken out by high-DPS weapons, and it is the highest DPS weapon to my knowledge. The accuracy also seems fine (I regularly just hold the trigger down and get my three kills without much effort), but I've yet to bother certing slugs so I may be mistaken on that. But I'm literally using it as a glorified melee weapon in big clusterfucks, if I was playing more moderately I'd probably use the high capacity one. Still considering buying it, actually, will depend on how my time with slugs goes. I'm also VS, which is lacking in close range thumpers. If you're red, you've already got TRAC, Cycler and CARV, so you don't really need that. So, yeah, trial everything but probably go high capacity.
Does the slugs affect the guns negatively in any way? I only saw positive things but I may've misread.

They take the challenge and fun out of dogfighting. Sure it's mostly just doing turns in the air trying to get on the other dude's tail but ever since I've been getting the jump on all the other aircraft lately I've been surviving way longer and the rush of trying to stay on the other guy's tail while he's trying to outmaneuver you is fun enough for me. It's also fun when you drop their health low and when they try to out turn you and end up flying into your trajectory resulting in you getting a roadkill bonus and still have enough hp to fly home is so satisfying.

a2a missiles shouldn't even exist, do a2g if you must, and keep the ground to air stuff, but a2a is ridiculous
I love playing as engineer on my NC character, I just got the NV/IR optic for the default gun and I must say it is soooo awesome. Definitely a good purchase. I bought some optic for my Heavy and HATE it, wish I could get my 30 points back haha. What should I buy next for NC engineer?
There's a very organized, goal oriented NC outfit on Waterson called "Mr. Fisty's Fisting Force." We tend to fill at least two squads on weekdays, a full platoon on fridays and saturdays. If you're interested, PM me on here.
Still looking for VS on waterson

I love having a billion of my friends all on a hill taking cover and just shooting anyone that comes out of the big shields on a base while I play Medic occasionally joining in on the killing but also keeping them all healthy and happy.
Fun times, just got off woodman. We went from only having our warpgate as a spawn to pushing both teams all the way back to theirs in a few hours. Think I may actually enjoy this game more than BF3 D:
I just bought a thing and even though it took my certs, it didn't give me the item I bought.
the air-to-ground rockets for the aircrafts are just as ridiculous as the air-to-air rockets they have. they really didn't do much of any balancing with them
Oh, so I can use the same scope on multiple weapons?
As long as it is the exact kind of weapon, just on another class, yes.
