Doesn't capping passive cert gain kind of defeat the purpose it was originally implemented for, to allow people that don't play that much to still be able to get stuff?
It caps at 24 hours since logging in. Its to keep people playing.
It caps at 24 hours since logging in. Its to keep people playing.
How much is it per hour? [editline]29th November 2012[/editline] So how come some people manage to do ludicrous amounts of damage with the standard weapon? I flew a liberator and suddenly some reaver took us down in two seconds, I checked and he only used he standard gun. Same thing happens on the ground, sometimes people just kill me in an instant even though I've been putting way more bullets in their head.
Oi what server? The first picture is EXACTLY what happened to my friend half an hour ago, I just stood by and laughed.
Cobalt, the picture was taken a few days ago.
Cobalt, the picture was taken a few days ago.
Too bad, we were on the same warpgate and pmuch the same position and the same incident. Also when the heck you gonna be on steam?
I dunno what happened, but my average framerate seems to have skyrocketed! I'm up from 15-20 to 30-40 FPS in big fights, now. It's awesome. Today was some sweet stuff, too. Every front was a clash of all three teams, and the fighting was mega-intense. Plus, I went on, like, a 30-notch killing spree as Light Assault. There were so many people fighting, that I was able to just quietly hop from structure to structure, killing off people below in groups of two or three at a time. I think I ended up, like, 72/6 by the time the facility finally switched hands! Also, landing a good grenade and killing six or seven people is just the best thing. The best thing. [editline]29th November 2012[/editline]
Ey, i got another quick question, how is this game compared to bf3 / mw3? Is it more like bf3 than mw3? And are there bulletdropp on weapons? So that a sniper gets some challenge?

Bullet drop and travel times.
Unless you're the Vanu Coolguys! Their special trait is that their weapons have no bullet drop.
I really wish weapons didn't cost so many certs.
TR master race. [editline]29th November 2012[/editline] Shooting a mini gun at the rebel scum is amazing.
So I'm new and I made a terran empire guy, does that make me superior to everyone else?
Good to see you made the right decision. LOYALTY UNTIL DEATH.
I really wish weapons didn't cost so many certs.
Feel ya, there. Some of 'em aren't too bad, though. I'm saving up 250 to unlock a new VS Carbine. I trialed it and loved it, so I figure its worth the couple of days it'll take to grind for it. The 1000 Cert ones, though? Don't see much point.
Goddamn its so fucking easy to get certs as a medic especially if you are defending a main base and getting the XP bonus for it Thier guns are pretty good, they self heal, they get 10+xp per second for healing, revives give you almost as much XP as a single kill, etc. Just playing for an hour defending an amp station with a small force against a small force (so it wasn't a massive battle or anything) got me 60certs, with a 25% xp boost from the membership. It wasn't even that crazy or anything, just a couple of small fronts and a decent group of people to shoot and revive. During a big assault I probably could have raked in double what I was doing. I don't even play medic as my main interest (I like infiltrators), but I'm thinking about switching just because their guns are so good, and you just get so much XP from being one (while infiltrating gets you jack shit in comparison). [editline]29th November 2012[/editline]
Doesn't capping passive cert gain kind of defeat the purpose it was originally implemented for, to allow people that don't play that much to still be able to get stuff?
The idea is that they don't want you just creating characters and idling them for months just so you can log in and have a huge pile of certs, which is what people did in beta (as well as idling in the warpgate). Now you have to at least log in (and I assume play a small bit) once every 24hrs to keep getting passive certs so you aren't just botting.
Jiggu, video in your title made me jizz a little, its amazing. I used to have terrible fps on the weekend, overclocked my cpu to 3.9Ghz, from 3.2 and now i get nice 30 fps in huge battles, in smaller areas its around 50-60, so much better now.
I really wish weapons didn't cost so many certs.
Or SC
Ey, i got another quick question, how is this game compared to bf3 / mw3? Is it more like bf3 than mw3? And are there bulletdropp on weapons? So that a sniper gets some challenge?
Gameplay wise it feels much more battlefieldy than cod, except on a much, much larger scale.

All this faction loyalty makes me wonder, why be stuck to one faction when you can join 2?
All this faction loyalty makes me wonder, why be stuck to one faction when you can join 2?
Traitor... (I have a vanu alt, please dont hurt me)

The loyalty levels in this page are satisfactory. Also can you use NV during the day at decent effect? The NC is a spy
The loyalty levels in this page are excellent. Also can you use NV during the day at decent effect?
Yes, it's a must around the clock. That picture was taken during daytime.

That explains everything
My friend got stuck in a pit on Esamir.. Map designers are assholes
In my first half an hour of playing the game, I fell down some crevice in Esamir, before I could even try to jump out of it, I just fell through the map and started my descent into whitespace.
You're rolling Vanu but you're in Dahaka, as in your own home area rather then, I dunno, Vanu territory?
We Vanu are all wiggly and whatnot. We kinda plorp out all over the place.
Nothing compares for me when you are light assault and vault over some buildings only to find that you have found about 20/30 enemy guys at a corner shooting in the opposite direction. And you have a grenade.
Nothing compares for me when you are light assault and vault over some buildings only to find that you have found about 20/30 enemy guys at a corner shooting in the opposite direction.
We Vanu are all wiggly and whatnot. We kinda plorp out all over the place.
WE CONQUER CONTINENTS THEN LEAVE THEM TO RECONQUER THEIR OWN HOMELAND.
if you were contemplating getting the foregrip to help with the recoil don't bother but i only noticed the tiniest difference, i'd spend the 100 certs on something else
The grip only reduces horizontal recoil. The compensator reduces vertical recoil.
Hey, is anyone running the game on a amd 7850. How is it? I'm thinking of getting one.
-snip- never mind.
