Planetside 2: or how I stopped worrying and loved the lag Also, is the hand-held anti-air launcher good?
Expecting something to do with "GLORIOUS <Faction>"
I kinda hate how each continent has a clearly dominant faction. For the server I'm on Esamir is constantly 50%+ TR controlled, and I don't even go to the other 2 continents because I'm constantly fighting off the vanu faggots on Esamir to pay attention to trying to expand the mighty TR grip to the other 2 continents.
Also getting out my card to throw money at that zephyr cannon tonight. I believe I will have a happy gunner rather than that tickle me elmo default bullshit [editline]30th November 2012[/editline] my automerge :C
Planetside 2: All factions are unbalanced!
If you guys are wondering about a computer that's good enough to max this game currently without being uber top of the line, mine pretty much fits the bill 2500k i5 3.0ghz 560Ti 8GB RAM Decent hard-drive Win7 64bit I max out the game with zero FPS problems at all. I'm guessing my computer was one of the things they tested and actually optimized for early on, which is why it runs so good without me needing a high end i7 or something. Meanwhile other people's PC's who are pretty close to mine but maybe using i7s or AMD equivalents will get crappy performance. It really has more to do with what they've actually got optimized for what processors/etc and less to do with raw power. If you are running a decent processor that simply was never tested on or touched optmization wise by the devs then you're likely to run the game not ideally. The good news is that they are keen on making it so every chip/hardware/HDD combonation runs good and at their max potential in the next two months, so instead of upgrading I suggest just holding back some and waiting for more and more hardware combonations to get better optimized to run the game at that hardware's max potential.
I have that exact same setup, except I have an intel core 2 quadcore Q9650@3ghz I can run the game at medium with about 20 - 30 FPS in fights. Now I really hope they optimize my CPU soon...
I have an Intel Quad Core i7 and a Nvidia 5200 NVS overall I get around 45-60 FPS excluding high battle zones where I get maybe 30 to 45.
Only if they have dynamic map.
i really hate the aircraft controls
i really hate the aircraft controls
Works fine for me, although I do wish there was a pitch down key like in BF3, so I don't have to run my mouse down and down and down my mousepad all the time.
What's with all the Vanu pilots being really shitty on Helios?
Spawned a Liberator just to haul my ass over to Mani for a quick flip. Scythe engages me and in an attempt to save myself from walking 1km I quickly decelerate. Scythe crashes into me killing himself and I got like 400-500xp.
Planetside 2 Thread v3: I bought a Magrider but all I got was grief points.
After trying out all three factions, I have to say I prefer TR guns but I really want to play NC.
The heat cannon is so damn good on the lightning that I've been spawning more lightnings than vanguards. Kinda wish things like that weren't straight upgrades.
