is the death animation really the same as bf3?
is the death animation really the same as bf3?
If you mean it stays in a first person camera as you fall over, then yes. I don't think BF3 was the first to do that.
i really really hope they change that, it looks so ridiculous.
as if someone being blown up is going to just slowly lie down as if they were taking a nap
do you really fall over like you do in bf3 wtf
death animation the same obviously bf3 clone
not only is it beta, but who the fuck cares, you see the animation for 2 seconds before you respawn

yeah it is

test-playing PS2 brings so many memories on PS1 ;)
Anybody want to add me? If so add me Traxex on US EAST 03
I don't know how people can manage to play Vanu, I have nothing against them but on US West 1,2, and 3 they have the lowest pop and the lowest territory held. It might be nice to go root for the underdog by playing as them but with the way it is now for them, it feels like you're not even playing an MMO because of their sheer lack of numbers and their resource gain is so slow you hardly ever get enough to use vehicles as often as the TR and NC do.
Man, my experience of PS2 so far:
- Spawn, run to the frontlines, proceed to be outgunned by enemies. Nothing I do can kill them. I empty my clip into them, and they still have 2 or 3 bars of health. They shoot after I engage, and I still end up dead.
- Respawn. Hop in a Mosquito. Take to the skies, trying to do my job by wiping out other Mosquitoes. Enemy Mosquitoes have Rocket Barrage or something, so I'm blown up before I even get a few shots off.
- Respawn again. Infiltrate enemy base, attempt to take a point. Enemy walks in on me when Capturing is at half-way, I get shot and killed.
The fuck.

I feel so lonely in this game. Attempting to join a healthy, social squad seems an incredibly difficult task. Once I join a squad, I can't leave it, and it doesn't show many squads up for invite either. I just go about fighting on my own.

You can leave squads, in the squad tab.
Click the little thing next to your name in there.

I kind of get what you mean, I'm also confused as to where to go sometimes.
I used instant action to go to this supposed hotzone and I literally only saw like 1 enemy that I killed in 30 minutes of running around said "hotzone".
Hotzones only show up if theres capturing going on I'm pretty sure, nothing else.
Click a hot zone and look at the capture bars - if it looks like theres a serious battle oging on there then spawn there. the redder it is, the "hotter" the zone, and the more the bars there are blinking the more actual battle is going on.
Capture bars blink accoridng to how many capture points you have (faster = your capture rate is faster and your bar goes up faster). A place that has two different faction's capture bars blinking at a moderate rate and is halfway full indicates (usually) a battle is going on there. If you see a hot zone that has no capture bars listed, or there is only one faction who's capture bar is progressing, there is very likely no battle going on there - it was finished up basically and the base just needs to capture.
In otherwords, all of this information will be useless once you actually learn the game and know which locations are important. Because then you'll ALWAYS know where to go, and what to do to get such areas.
Alternatively, hang out at your warpgate until a galaxy pilot starts loading up. Gal pilots generally always know where they are going, and you'll almost always go to a place that is in the heat of battle, or start doing important covert ops to gain territory (which leads to battle eventually).

I've had about the same experience except at about 2 FPS even on lowest setting with drawdistance manually lowered and grass sprites disabled. :(
Do NOT run the game on low
It puts everything on your CPU - which means you actually get worse perfomrance since PS2 is a very CPU dependant game
Medium is best for best performance
This is the part that I regret not trying to get a key.
only thing you need to know if you want action; stay at west highlands checkpoint or allatum. those places are always on fire.
I hate the timer on vehicles.
I also hate the fact that they can just keep on locking after I use flares.

You can put certs into timer reduction.

doesnt do much good tho when you dont earn resources fast enough

well i guess if you play ultra conservative its fine, but anti air tends to shorten the lifespan of most pilots significantly
I'm glad the game doesn't just give you a slap on the wrist for dying with an asset.
If you could just hop into a reaver every time you died it'd feel too arcadey.
Ok I like the new capping system but now that we're actually fighting the NC in large engagements the fact that THEY'RE BLATANTLY OVERPOWERED IN EVERY WAY is starting to shine through.
Doesn't help the fact that most TR guns are piss weak.
Oh man I had a fully loaded Galaxy heading to NC territory, out of no where I hear "ITS GARBAGE DAY!" and then a NC galaxy slams on top of my galaxy and everyone dies.
Does anyone have any spare keys left?
Preferably one I could mooch off of you?
the enclave is such a fucking horrendous tr outfit i don't get why it's still in operation.
