This isn't like BF3 where the game itself doesn't have to figure out or do much and everything is just on the video card. Your CPU+HDD speed is VERY important Also everyone running on Core2 line of CPu's is going to get terrible performance - currently the game is only "optimized" for modern iX line of intels and most of the AMD's. Think of this as more of a bug than anything - but core2's just do not run this game good right now.

But here's the gist... Once a hex gets captured, all capture points on that hex flip over to the faction who wins. When this happens, a "cooldown" period takes place (called re-encrypting). During reencryption, nobody can capture any points. Big bases (most important, they produce the resource that lets people buy new weapons and implants in the store) have a cooldown of 5 min before recapture can be done, smaller @ 3 min and the smallest are 1.5 min. To capture just stand next to it. This will likely change in the future. You cannot capture as a MAX unit You must be able to outnumber enemies on a point to capture it. You can only capture hex's adjacent to your own (this will likely be adjusted some in future). When you capture a point, it adds tickets to your capture bar at X rate. The more points you have, the faster your factions capture bar fills up. Any Adjacent Hex's you own add to your influence bonus, which is the solid bar in your capture bar. If you have influence, your capture process starts at the end of the solid bar instead of the very start of the capture bar. Certain bases are going through experiemnetal base design currently. Zurvan is a major base that has only one capture point in the center, but it is heavily guarded behind shields that you must destroy (in YELLOW icons on the game world) in order to get inside. They also have a main shield generator inside the base that disables vehicle bay shields if destroyed. Peris has 6 capture points, but in order to access the three capture points inside the main base you must destroy the shield gens at all 3 capture points outside the base.

It's a sigh of god damn relief now I can enjoy this game properly.

(Be specific) So far this is the best settings for me, I'm getting 70-30fps with a modest system. (Q9300, HD4870, and 8GB DDR2) Before-hand I was getting 30-10 FPS, so the change in performance for me has been colossal. I was previously running on 1920x1200 but that chipped away a good 20-30+ fps for me.

Woah, I just had a field day in The Crown with my TR MAX suit, wanted to test it out, ended up killing a bunch of people and shooting down 2 galaxies and one Scythe with the grenade launcher, MAX Suits are pretty god damned good.
