Yeah, something like (don't hit me) Battlefield or CoD unlocks would make this more fun.
Something like you level with a weapon, you can unlock a scope/attachment for it without the need of certs.
Certs should be only for class unlocks.
doing really well playing gunner for a galaxy, i'm the only other guy in it besides the pilot. got about 12 kills before he started picking other people up. then he decides he wants to fly into an enemy warpgate

Does this game get really laggy in firefights for anyone else? I can be running perfectly but as soon as I start shooting someone they start lagging all over the place and I can't hit them.

It used to, but after a few patches I barely get any stutter now, just low FPS.
Also lag != stutter.
Unless you do you lag when you start shooting someone, if so, then that's incredibly strange and not sure how I could explain that.
I love the local voice chat on this, makes things hilarious.

i agree, there needs to be more macro. right now the game mostly feels like a bunch of little battles you get into at your own leisure.

Apparently if you have a twitter account, tweeting about the planetside 2 game and mentioning Beta Key Bill can net you a key, trying now.

I hope that SOE does something similar to "The Bending" in Planetside 1, never experienced it myself but seeing videos of it makes me realize how awesome it'd be to see something like that happen in PS2.
