Planetside 2 Thread v2 - Beta floodgates open GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY - Games

So the iffy optimization/performance normal at this point? I will assume so as its Beta, but also worried maybe my 950 X4 Phenom and 460GTX aren't good enough for this game. Game is pretty awesome, until big battles make your frame-rate tank :suicide:

This game struggles at low, but its a shame cause it looks soooo pretty :pwn: I'm sure they'll optimize it someday, it is early in its life.

I'm a little put off that nothing I do matters. Captured a base? Sweet ten minutes later it isnt yours. Capture almost all the map? Nah, can't win...

Gah, this falling through the floor bug has happened to me 4 times in a row, and when I set up my turret across the base and start firing upon the enemy its almost as if my shots have no effect. The game also blames me for suicide when I fall through the floor, this isn't as good as they make it seem.

This is just frustrating now. 5 disconnects within ~2 hours. 2 of those disconnects have been from server resets, but the three others have just been random.

Some other people said they got that too. :v: When does that happen, though? Just restart the launcher, since the file gets downloaded all over every time anything has been changed in it.

Well in that vid that was posted a while ago, Higby said they'll patch it (I'm not sure if they had already) and then after that each zone will crash once more for it to be updated in that single zone. So maybe it you're just flying through all the zones as they are knocked down. Hopefully it'll stop now. no? Well they do get access to the burster max for free, but that is more to do with an inheritance bug that will be cleared after the next wipe.
