They're actually useful. But there's really nothing for Infiltrator's to do. I mean you can lay down a mine on a vehicle pad/terminal, but then what. It's a long trip to re arm your one or two mines to do it again

On their own they plain suck though :v:

That said they don't want to give you too much araxium from the get go because the whole idea is that you see something you want in the store, so you buy it with real money instead of araxium to get it much quicker. Since we don't have that in yet, and the only things you can currently buy that are worth anything cost a big premuim in araxium to unlock, it takes a very long time to get enough. Once they adjust araxium gain, add a lot more "smaller scale" stuff you can buy, and open up the shop for real-world money, then the araxium system will be working a bit better.
When they wipe the characters, are they deleted, or just reset to default?

Now that you can't get certs from being offline, getting those high certifications will be pretty hard. Guess I'll have to spend the entire next week on getting the Night vision optics
how do you force higher draw distance and anti-aliasing in PS2? I mean, the game looks great but I can still see jaggies if I attempt to force 8x antialiasing with Nvidia Control Panel and the people popping in when flying over is annoying. [t]http://imgkk.com/i/jn4x.png[/t] [t]http://imgkk.com/i/m379.png[/t] This is at 8x CSAA "forced" and you can still see the jaggies in the gun / railings on the first image and the pronounced jaggies on the ground in the second. I tried setting RenderDistance to -2.00 and it seemed to help for one launch and then stopped working.

Nothing but loosely based opinions below. Do not read if you don't like opinions. I spent the day messing around with new characters in different Factions, just to see what they were like. I normally play NC, whose weapons and vehicles feel like they're about doing more damage per shot with smaller clips. The TR weapons and vehicles seem to revolve more around raining lead hell on everybody in your path, while doing less damage per shot. Two pretty unique weapon types for two different factions. But then I played Vanu, and aside from the Magrider, Scythe, and their max, there doesn't really seem to be anything unique or particularly useful about their equipment. Clip sizes and Damage done by their weapons feel like a mixup between the NC and the TR, and their version of the pistol feels just as harmless to me as it's Planetside 1 counterpart. Again, not a whole lot of playtime to back up these thoughts, and they might be fairly obvious to some people.

They seem to get things done during the start of a push, but usually things turn into a giant goofing off contest.

The TR on West 3 tend to be pretty damn good at taking heavily defended areas, just aren't the greatest at defending. Everyone likes to neglect repairing the spawn generators, I think a lot of people don't grasp how important they are to holding an area. It's kind of silly when there's huge mobs of TR engineers in a place yet I'm almost always having to switch to engineer and do it myself. We have pulled off some insane assaults though. Such as taking the Crown with infantry only coming from Ti Alloys, no galaxy support, no armor support, no MAXes with bursters, just mobs of soldiers fighting an uphill battle against armor/air/snipers fucking everywhere and getting shit done regardless.

(I'd gone hours without seeing a single Vanu troop while squad'd with a bunch of hardcore anti-TR guys.) Next thing you knew Vanu would have everything right up to our warpgate and we'd have to push them back. Presistant little buggers.
Aw man, I spent like an hour updating and the servers went down 15 minutes later.

I dreamt about Planetside 2 last night, i dreamt about new helmets for the TR soldiers and then something went wrong because i started to dream about TR infiltrators without helmets that had long brown hair, beards and sunglasses.
