So yeah, I transferred to a new realm and faction changed. I then gave my tank friend money to get epic flying and gem his gear plus I helped him gear up. I ran through ToTC10 with him last night (his first time there (our realm is GS-based)) and he got four items.

Now he's happy with his 34k unbuffed HP. Sure, it ain't much, but he was at like 27k when I got to the realm.
