The leadup to expansions gets kinda boring as well. I'm just playing other games while I wait.

My standards? He's gearing poorly and gimping himself. You're going to come up with some "BUT I PLAY HOW I WANT CUZ ITS FUN" argument. It's fun to play below how well you could ? It's fun to have your spells miss and do lower damage? These days there's so much information around on classes that it's hard NOT to know how to correctly gear. It's even worse is these people somehow get into raids and ninja gear from people who are actually going to progress and make decent use of it.
He obviously wants to raid and get into pve content so the whole idea is to get better gear, that involves making the right stat choices. The fact that he's so far made poor choices proves my argument that he needs to l2p. Maybe go die is a bit far, he should just go back to farming his dailies like the other little scrubletts while he learns how to play his class.
