Yeah sorry, it was unbalanced.
I like things unbalanced. Look at life.
Also bear in mind that some classes are more gear-dependant than others, so that'll explain why the start of each expansion favours classes that turn out pretty decent in the long run. [editline]08:55PM[/editline] A good example is, imo, warriors.
Oh god warriors... Fucking 15 rage at the start of wotlk, FUCK YOU BLIZZARD
Oh god warriors... Fucking 15 rage at the start of wotlk, FUCK YOU BLIZZARD
I lold.
It's also a lot harder to get a PuG with 40 people. I think they should add in 40 man raids again, however, but with the 10 and 25 mans. It would be fun to do 40 but you would really need a raiding guild to get into it with any success methinks.
Raids were never meant to be pugged. That has since changed.
Raids were never meant to be pugged. That has since changed.
I'm pretty sure that 10 man raids were designed to be done casually so probably are semi-designed to be done by PUGs.
I'm pretty sure that 10 man raids were designed to be done casually so probably are semi-designed to be done by PUGs.
I'm talking about when raids were first introduced. [editline]02:05PM[/editline] They were specifically to reward big guilds.
Raids were never meant to be pugged. That has since changed.
Well shouldn't the game have casual raids and more hardcore raids? I don't think it's fair to only have raids for large guilds.
Well shouldn't the game have casual raids and more hardcore raids? I don't think it's fair to only have raids for large guilds.
so give bad players better gear for nothing! great idea!
so give bad players better gear for nothing! great idea!
So only extreme hardcore players who play for 5 hours a day should be able to have fun?
So only extreme hardcore players who play for 5 hours a day should be able to have fun?
Yes.
So only extreme hardcore players who play for 5 hours a day should be able to have fun?
cause you totally cant have fun without good gear right
cause you totally cant have fun without good gear right
What fun there is to WoW exactly, besides from not being able to crit shit for ten thousands?
so give bad players better gear for nothing! great idea!
If you pug with bad people, then lead yourself. I atleast take all the loots I need if I lead VoA for example. Done it few times, I don't care. I distribute other loots normally.
When someone had epics in Vanilla WoW, he was fucking good. Post BC, if you didn't have any epics, you sucked balls.
When someone had epics in Vanilla WoW, he was fucking good. Post BC, if you didn't have any epics, you sucked balls.
Since when?
When someone had epics in Vanilla WoW, he was fucking good. Post BC, if you didn't have any epics, you sucked balls.
I do remember feeling this, looking at the high lvl players with their epic armour when I used to play before the expansions. Since I picked it up again everyone has nice gear and the feeling of superiourity has sort of gone because everyone from lvl 40+ has impressive looking stuff. Every player is sweet looking now. Before only the lvl 60s had huge shoulder armour and stuff, everyone else had the plain looking armour.
Yeah I totally think it would be a good idea to remove lots of zones/dungeons/spells AND SOME classes/races so I can farm old pvp gear and old instances.[sp]NOT.[/sp] My name is ridingkeys I am clearly wrong so I will nitpick at incredibly minor details.
Yeah I totally think it would be a good idea to remove lots of zones/dungeons/spells/classes/races so I can farm old pvp gear and old instances.[sp]NOT.[/sp]
What the fuck are you on about? Theres only been one class and two races added.
Hes a guy who thinks 60 was a big achievement and is to LAZY to level up further.
I have 2 level 80's...
WoW stopped becoming appealing and no longer justified my $15 a month. I just didn't find it as fun as it used to be. I honestly think the expansions ruined it. They just made the game a little too casual. Of course everyone should be able to get the same experiences hardcore players do, but that's why there were cas raiding guilds and what not. They simply took the game you had to invest time into and turned it into one where you could hop on for half an hour and accomplish a lot. On paper this is a great idea, but you accomplished too much is what the problem is. Like others have posted before, everyone past 60 starts looking kickass and you're just no longer special looking. This combined with item standardization or whatever it was called, just made everyone look the same. If I wanna play an MMO where I look the same as everyone else, I'll go play Guild Wars. [editline]06:56PM[/editline] Another major problem was that each expansion killed the previous area and all it's content. Leveling 40-58 on WoW is pretty much a boring hell with nothing to do. The fun only kicks back up at 70.
Hes a guy who thinks 60 was a big achievement and is to LAZY to level up further.
60 was a big achievement when the game first came out. Shut the fuck up you have no idea what WoW is.
It's only fag 12years old that dont want vanilla WoW. But its the fag faggots that once were 12years old that want it.
Nope. Any, I swear god ANY intellectual player agrees, without a doubt, that many things were badly designed back in the days. Pvp system sucked, way too big of a time-sink. All rank14 players I've talked with said they wouldn't do it again. Pve system was semi-not-so-semi okay, without tokens (Classes: Druid, Hunter, DK, etc) it was pretty much gambling through the instances. Also, Badge-reward system works very well! So, even the semi-casual players who were capable of spending 2-3 hours clearing a raid (See: ToC) were left out doing UBRS all day and/or farming low-tier pvp crap. Not so much fun. [editline]11:35PM[/editline] How many times do I gotta say this?
Try a private server... at your own risk.

I know see how much better the raiding system works, and grew to like it.
Any one who thinks vanilla was better is probably looking through rose tinted glasses. The PvP was a grind fest. Go watch some old pvp videos. Maydie etc. They were the best of the best and now they'd hardly compare to an 1800 rated player in terms of maximising what they get from their character. Also to be in a real high end guild you'd need to spend hours on end farming for gold or mats to make your flasks. There was no dailys or even large numbers of quests, you'd just farm in WPL or Silithus for hours on end. Gold is really easy to get now (which is a good thing).
Any one who thinks vanilla was better is probably looking through rose tinted glasses.
No, anyone who wants Vanilla back never played Vanilla at the end game. I personally loved Vanilla, I felt a great since of achievement when I worked for my gear, but the grind and constant days/week/months of grind to get there is not something anyone should want to go back to and if they do, then they truly never did it themselves before TBC. Now don't get me wrong, I like how WoW is now, but I don't get that sense of accomplishment when I get my gear like I did in Vanilla. I'm going to get on *that* bandwagon and say that Blizzard is just giving gear away, now even more so than before, thanks to the way the random LFG thing works, not that I have a problem with it as I think everyone should get to see the content they work so hard on, but the only hard part of WoW is getting the "harder" achievements... Now I'm just late night ranting, carry on. >.<
Good.. finally some sense on this board. Oh and I was also one of those raiding the 40man content and farming shit. It was pretty "no-life".
