I'd say wait until the next patch. Just be safe if they decide to nerf Jarvan. That would suck to buy Jarvan instead of a champ you really wanted, just for him to get nerfed.

You know, I don't think Jarvan is going to be nerfed. Out of six games yesterday only one opposing team has a Jarvan while I played Jarvan in all six. Are not that many people playing him?
Jarvan's ulti seems very unresponsive and hard to land... not that great of a damaged output either, I'm guessing he's more of a late game champ.

the "insta-buy" jarjars are already gone,most of them anyway,I've played with mostly only good jarvans today,but still,there was one who trapped me with the whole enemy team,then he used flag and runned away from the arena,while I just stood there,praying that he would get a hit by a car today

He isn't as good as some other melee DPS champions, I don't think he should be nerfed.

Just curious, what other champions are better dps? I just don't know all of the champs very well, yet. I do like how Jarvan can fit on just about any team, though. He is the best laning buddy.
Jarvan still deals a lot of damage without any damage items. Last night i had this jarvan on my team who built full tank (warmogs as his 3rd item) and his final score was like 12/1/10.

With how much information you just gave, anything could be a factor in that. The entire other team could have sucked huge monkey balls. We don't know.

Well, i was also tanking as singed (5/5/14), we had a fed ken with full stacks (also like 13/3/10), a twitch who fed (1/8/2 or something) and a poppy (?) who did ok, can't remember.

Does his skills scale with dmg from items,or total dmg?if it's total dmg,then he kinda needs a nerf,full tank jarvans do too much dmg,he can tank ur whole team,and still rape ur squishies and carries

Plus his passive deals 10% of your health in magic damage, his Q deals physical damage, reduces armor and has a 1.1 ratio, he can shield himself and do aoe slow, His E gives attack speed and armor while activating it deals magic damage, grants all of those bonus stats to allies and can be used to blink and stun, while his ult nukes thanks to the 1.5 ratio, not to mention the gayass cage. All those abilities aside, his tanky enough to be able to just dps your carries without any problems.
I don't know how you guys call him balanced. Yeah sure, i saw a couple of noob jarvs here and there but i also came across good ones who raped the shit out of everybody.
Xin is also a melee dps but he doesn't have his damage, ratios or utility.
I refuse to accept the fact that he might be nerfed until he is, simply because i play him :v:

Warwick, Udyr, Irelia, Olaf, maybe even Xin.
If they don't nerf Jarvan in the next patch, then they sure as hell need to buff Maokai! :mad:

Those recent nerfs hurt xin. Call me stupid but i don't think warwick and olaf are better melee dps champs than jarv.

Lol, if you bring exhaust as your first summoner spell and then WW's ult as your second.
He is really good at initiating ganks.
His Pillar of Filth is awesome to prevent escape, but most people use it right away when they are going in for the kill, which is not how you should use it in my opinion.
