Aside from aiming Nevermove he seems bird-brainish a bit, but I like him. I also found it weirdly effective to get Rod of Ages and Tear of Goddes.

Also, any tips for playing Garen ? He seems [i]chewy[/i] to me, same as Renekton. Cooldowns are often breaking the pace and their tanky-dpsness often results in either total dominance or beaing a meatshield with few shiny moves.

Yeah AP shen is fun. Scrubs always underestimate Shen's damage output.

I think if you want damage output, then building tanky and stacking hp (warmogs and sunfire cape) is way better.
Also about your losing streak... Is it just me or do you guys also never really feel outmatched on losing streaks? When I lose I rarely go "damn that enemy team was good" it's more like "damn I guess my elo spiked because of the winstreak and now I'm with scrubs"

I get win streak, then I just get feeders going 0/999/5 saying LAG, OMG MY CAT FELL DOWN! OMG Excuse excuse excuse.

Yeah, build him tanky till you're not dying then either get AP, AD, or utility. Alistar is very naturally tanky, but here's how I build him
Mana manip, Sheen, Mobility, Aegis,
NOT DYING: triforce, AD or AP
DYING: Thornmail or randuins, Veil
