Jungle Yi isn't a good ganker really due to his lack of CC, so he has to rely on his lane partner to initiate. But he does get crazy damage. You have to have a good player on him. There are much better junglers though and most Jungle Yi's are horribad, so if a player tries to go for it I'd queue dodge.

No natural CC. And that's relying on a buff that comes every five minutes or so. Plus a slow isn't hard CC. Sure, jungle Yi can gank, but he isn't as good as ganking as characters that have natural stuns or supressions or such.

You have to play fairly risky with him and learn when you can survive a towerdive etc.
Most people usually get a nervous breakdown playing him, but he is really fun, although hard to master.
Saw once on the forums about a guy playing AD Kassadin.
Need to try that once when I feel like trolling...
