That's funny. Super Mario Galaxy 2 gets released in the UK on the 11th, but I just received my copy in the post today (10th). Unfortunately I've been awake for more than 24 hours and I really need to sleep, but I can't wait to play it when I have the time.
I just got the game yesterday, and I'm up to 40 stars so far. Best Wii game out there by far. I was expecting "SMG 1.5", but it seems like there some new game mechanic in every star. Awesome game.
didnt get my game today for some fucking reason, hopefully ill get it tomorrow instead
Awesome game just got it today!
Goddamn this game is hard, 20 lives on the slider stage - i give up.
I have one complaint about this game. Too easy. You literally get a shit load of 1-ups per level and every time you return to your ship, too, which doesn't make it any harder.

Oh and awesome game. Words can't describe it. Got every star except last and I'm too lazy to get it (It's not entirely easy)

The amount of 1ups doesn't make a game hard, it's the game that makes it hard, and it's a perfect blend of challenge and fun. NIN, every post you've made is "THIS GAME SUCKS THIS GAME SUCKS THIS GAME SUCKS" but the only thing you say is good is "They remade the 64 level" I think you're living in the past hardcore bro. Edit: You're free to not like it, I can't change your opinion on it, but the fact you're only complaint is it's not SM64 is really obnoxious.
Oh man, they remade that level where you have to get all the purple coins on the level that looks like 8-bit luigi, except there's also shadow Mario's following you. And then there's the tree slide, except you need to get 100 purple coins on the way down.
I think I should put this Disclaimer first, just in case, but I do not own a Wii, in fact I do not own any of the current generation consoles, not even portable ones, the last consoles I've owned were the original XBOX, the GameCube and the PS2, which are long gone. In other words, I've never played Super Mario Galaxies and certainly not SMG2. With that said, I wanted to have the opinion of the inevitable gamers who've known and played Super Mario games from the past. Do you guys really honestly believe that SMG2 is the best Super Mario Brothers game ever created? Or not? I'm asking this because when Sunshine was released I remember it was labeled the best SMB game ever, I played it, completed it, and thought it was fad at best, and Sunshine is the last SMB game I've played by the way. And, I guess that my ultimate question is also inevitable: Is it really better than Mario 64? I'm thinking of getting a Wii for a few games, lately, surely I will get the New Super Mario Brothers Wii, SMG1 and SMG2, along with Mario Kart Wii and maybe one or two others, I'm starting to miss the old days of console gaming and the only console I still consider being a console is the Nintendo's Wii, also it's relatively cheap.

The whole gravity thing is getting tiresome. I also still believe that the game is incredibly easy. Don't get me wrong, it's still fun. I just want something new and I don't mean a sequel to something that's been done already. Oh and Lubba absolutely ruined a good amount of the game for me. I'd rather see Rosalina over fucking Patrick Star.
My disk for super mario galaxy 2 broke :( Fuck going to have to buy a new one.

The games a absolute trip and one I've fallen in love with for how awesome it is. Also to the patrick star comment, really. Everything star shaped is patrick star. Wow

And if I call, Mario Sunshine was received very well. [editline]04:36AM[/editline]
I'm not saying it should be SM64, I just really miss the way levels were designed. woo! just got the game in my mail, gonna try it out right away
Just bought it on cheaper, release-day price. For once, I'm not being screwed over by high retail game prices. Oh, and :iia:!
The hamsterball parts are awesome :D
Got the game yesterday already, I love it already. I didn't get far in the game so far though. First, let me bring in some criticism. The game so far is way too easy. You get 1Ups on every corner and if you aren't a complete retard, you don't really die. I heard that this changes, so let it stand as a temporary argument. Second, the game treats you like a baby. On every corner you have signs that tell you how to jump, run, ride Yoshi and whatnot. I know, I can just ignore that, but still it's annoying for me. This is mostly nitpicking. The gameplay is as good, if not bettern then, the gameplay of the first SMG. And I haven't seen an idea (that is a style of puzzle or obstacle) twice in this game. All in all it's great, and I think it will still improve alot during your time with it.
i got like 65 1ups [editline]03:00PM[/editline] just got to world 4, i have 29 stars
Watched a stream last night and the guy had like 70 1ups before he quit and he was just on world 3.
Watched a stream last night and the guy had like 70 1ups before he quit and he was just on world 3.
You lose them once you quit so it doesn't really matter. [editline]02:21AM[/editline] 1-ups are kind of pointless anyway.
Also to the patrick star comment, really. Everything star shaped is patrick star. Wow
I'd agree, if it weren't for the fact that not only is he a star, but he's about the same color, same fucking shorts and he acts retarded. You can't tell me that's not a patrick star ripoff. In fact, you're the first and only person I've ever found to say otherwise.
You lose them once you quit so it doesn't really matter. [editline]02:21AM[/editline] 1-ups are kind of pointless anyway.
Well I always failed at Super Mario Galaxy 1 and never got above 10 lives in a single play-through.

Why the hate on Patrick? :saddowns: Played a little further. How can an already awesome game get even better? Goddamn addicting.
godamn clones following me everywhere
The hamsterball parts are awesome :D
No , no, no , no, no...NO. Right, so I finished the game, got all 120 stars. And now Shiggy wants me to collect [sp]OVER 100 FUCKING GREEN STARS[/sp]. Who knows what happens after doing said task?
s and he acts retarded.
Nah, it's just his jokes. "Faceship... har har."
