I disagree. The director wanted to make the movie more gritty and dark, introducing a character like Baraka would set the tone too far off the trail to keep it the way it is. Or at least, in my opinion.

I don't like the reboot of the characters' backgrounds. I hope they don't fuck up Raiden or Lui Kang's story.
Chances are that they will, and have Lui Kang just some random murder, instead of one of Jax's and Sonya's ally.
If they want Raiden arrested/killed, then I'm not watching this due to the fact that the allies are all fucked up.

Sub-Zero was my absolute favorite fucking character and now they turn him into the bad guy :frown:
I do love the new spin on the series. The old story line is so polluted with the old shitty movies it would be hard to make anything new and serious off of it.
Also, it's sad that this is only a pitch, because,
A) It might not get accepted (Which I fucking doubt because this is awesome)
B) It's going to take a few years to develop

The first Sub-Zero was a bad guy. A very, very bad guy. He murdered an entire clan full of people because they were his rivals.

Even Raiden is touchy about being allies with him, and Raiden is a god.
If they make Raiden a bad guy, I will give up the small amount of hope I have for this movie.
What a good Mortal Kombat movie? Nah can't be. It's probably one of those awesome shit movies where the plot makes no sense, acting is terrible but is just entertaining as hell to watch. Also Johny dies i gotto see the movie just for that.
Looks like total bullshit, like a knockoff version of blood sport. If it doesn't ACTUALLY have the MK mytho's then fuck that.
