Fuck that, we need some more black player models in games in general. The only black people to play as in Red Dead Redemption are listed in the "Criminals" section and the other one who looks like a fucking drunk slave is in Walton's Gang. Pisses me off.
Agreed.
People who play MW2 can't handle tits and weapons in the same game :colbert:
"Y IS THERE A GURL AS A MAIN CHARACTR/CHARACTER MEN ARE SUPOOSSED 2 FIGHTE, WOMEN ARE WEAK!!!!111!!!" I've seen something similar to that in YT (Mirrors Edge).
Women aren't cool enough to make it into a joint task force. It's just science.
Women ain't allowed in the marines, hence no female character.
All of the female characters are cleaning my room and making me a sandvich.
Women ain't allowed in the marines, hence no female character.
This is not true.
This is not true.
They're also allowed in the Army, right? Rate me clocks.
There are a lot of people who refuse to play as women, or don't want women in their war stories. It makes them feel insecure. Most of those people are teenagers, which is mw2's target demographic.
Fucking frat idiots have ruined the series, along with Activision. [editline]08:46PM[/editline] And the 12 year old boys, don't forget the 12 year old boys

Isn't it because in real life women are barred from going into a battle zone? So I could easily assume Infinity Ward had no way to integrate them without doing the same thing from COD4 (The pilot).
if they're short of men they'll send women on patrol. But that's it at least that's what I remember
This is not true.
To an extent it is. They are not allowed to fight.
As has been said in the U.S. military women are not allowed in combat roles. This would explain why you don't see women in the earlier missions however in later American mission after shit hits the fan and [sp]Russian invades the U.S.[/sp] (spoiler tagged just in case someone here hasn't figured it out yet) it would be far more than likely to see at least some female soldiers as the military would need any and all soldiers they could get.

Not that I would be well...:smug: But it would make a bit more realistic. Quite frankly I think any country would lose wars if they didn't have women as a part of their military.

For starters, I've seen more than a few black civilians walking around in RDR. But more to the point, you do realize RDR is set in 1911 right? Women are still a minority in almost every military and their notable presence is a recent thing. They still aren't allowed to be in direct combat roles, and SF units will never have women, at least not for the foreseeable future. They have their reasons, some legitimate, some very good reasons, others questionable, but this is not the place to discuss it.
They have their reasons, some legitimate, some very good reasons, others questionable, but this is not the place to discuss it.
Good reasons for things like why open gays shouldn't be allowed in any part of the US military, right?
I think a bunch of women's rights activists would bitch about killing women and say it's wrong and they shouldn't be there even though back in the day some women activists wanted women to be able to join the army. My my how they are taking steps back these days.
I never saw any women in the first Modern Warfare. Where was she?
Before the nuclear explosion.
Before the nuclear explosion.
To expand on what this man said, the helicopter pilot that you had to rescue from before the nuclear explosion. The voiceovers are quite clearly female, although it's hard to tell when you actually see her face (some may disagree here). Too bad saving her was pointless since everyone fucking dies anyway. Way to spoil the mood, IW.
It would distract gamers with their funbags.
:q: On a related note it's mainly because it's directed at teenagers who are more focused on the game and mayhem. Then again some might bitch abouting striking a quickscope kill at a female player model and go nuts about it.
Well, wouldn't that be becasue of the oppression of black people around that time period? [editline]08:47AM[/editline]
Good reasons for things like why open gays shouldn't be allowed in any part of the US military, right?
Hey strawman. No, completely different reasons. Reasons related to combat and psychological performance. As I said, some reasons are legit, some are very good reasons, others are questionable. Speaking of gays and the way the military treats them however, Open gays shouldn't be allowed into combat units until they are well and truly accepted in society first - for their own safety. Until then, don't ask don't tell works fine.
Wow I never noticed that.

I play female's whenever I get the chance.
Didn't we already have some big discussion on this and it all eventually boiled down to the fact that they were too fucking lazy to make an entirely new body model? Since with the males, for the most part it was copy paste faces onto the same body.
Not lazy, they have deadlines to hold to. Making a female body would require a lot of resources.
Well, wouldn't that be becasue of the oppression of black people around that time period? They weren't exactly accepted as equals just yet.
Keep in mind that a majority of cowboys were latinos and blacks.
this isn't because of a lack of a female model, there was a female pilot in cod4
But the female pilot never had to move, or do anything requiring any significant animation. Properly animating them would require a whole different skeleton to avoid them looking deformed, so it's more practical just to leave them out entirely. [editline]02:13PM[/editline]
I am the reverse of this post, I am a teenager, but I love playing female characters, I've finished Mass Effect 2 just once as a male, but 4 times as a female. Staring at a female ass is more pleasant than staring at a male ass for the duration of a third person game, and there's always the potential for teaching hot lesbian xemonorphs how to luurve. Plus, in Mass Effect, the female voice actress is way better than the male voice actor.

Especially because my gaming magazine said there would be a way to survive. Fuck em.
I know this is late, but while playing Modern Warfare today, I suddenly realized, that there are no female characters whatsoever what happened? Sure, they're was only one female character in the first Modern Warfare, but still at least I got the feeling that women existed in that game. So what are your thoughts on this? I know this isn't very important, but it kinda surprised me. Oh please, all bandwagoners please don't turn this into a Modern Warfare 2 hate thread.
It would take to long to make boob physics Its not to hard to make, but you can't stop staring... :smug:
Keep in mind that a majority of cowboys were latinos and blacks.
Which ones you bet would get arrested more often around that time period? Plus RDR is a cheesy cowboy story, cheesy cowboy stories always have whites everywhere.
