Soo for a long time I've been playing Emerald on my SP. I'd always restart it when I went on vacation, and often would leave it alone after beating the gym with the flying pokemon. Now, my brother has got a PSP and I've obtained his DS, and am playing soul silver. I have to say, I'm a bit mad that I can't transfer my emerald pokemon to soul silver.
Are there any pokemon from previous generations in Black and White?

oho, but you can! once you get to kanto, the safari zone in fuchsia will be shut down, and the pal park that you migrate pokemon from gen 3 games to will be there.

I played a bit of the japanese version and stopped after 6 gyms or so. Didn't see any previous gen pokemon so I assumed they aren't in it. Once you've got the national dex do they appear in the wild or is there a certain place you need to go to find them?

It's any pokemon. I just like Blastoise for 1st generation.

Gen3 is definitely my favourite.
I left blank spots where I didn't really like any available pokes.
Haven't played Gen5, no opinions yet.

I played silver when it was released, like when I was 10, it's been AGES.
