I think it's safe to assume that the latest Pokemon cards are being created almost twice as powerful as their would-be equivilants from the base set.
And no this isn't about that jumbo card posted earlier, they are literally becoming stronger.
The pokemon card game always confused me. I just collected the cards.
I was one of the only people at school who knew how to play (doing 6 prizes, using energy cards properly).

Best you find a league to play with, not worth it just to play with one other person. Assuming you're serious about it.
