Maximo, I think encountering a Gastly from here on is going to be tough. My rules are if I don't have any Pokeballs upon entering a new route/cave etc I can't obtain anything there forever, since I'm not buying anything from anywhere (apart from the ragebar and anything else plotwise) I'm short on balls. That doesn't stop me from making Kurt my ball slave. I just have to wait each day for more balls, and even then I'm going into new routes anyway.
