Well one if it's abilites is shed skin, so I guess it's just like a second layer of skin over the top.

i wonder if this game is purposely rigged in its combat system to produce close results
I mean, half the battles at the early gyms (solo smugleaf all the way baby) I was often reduced to around 7hp by the end of the battle
Also at the end battle with [sp]Geechisu[/sp] I was constantly healing and reviving using all the items i had until the AI was retarded enough to allow me a window of opportunity for my smuglord to one-hit kill every last one of them

I prefer the style they used up until Pokemon Black & White, they don't look bad, but it's just not the Pokemon style, atleast Diamond & Pearl still had Pokemon looking Pokemon. :/
