Only Nintendo knows and has the power to give out the correct release date, which they haven't done yet. The retailers would only be giving rough estimates based off previous release dates to give the customers a timeline to look forward to.

Well if that's the case, then it should come out by early March. Let's go back 3 years as to why.

Diamond and Pearl are the flagships of the 4th gen and were released in April.
Black and White are the flagships of the 5th gen so...

Just don't trust Gamestop for every video game release info. They have been known to fuck up in the past.
Many times over and over, in relation to Gran Turismo 5 at least.
To get a better estimation of the B&W release date you would want to factor in the times between the previous Japanese releases and then the appropriate US & EU releases due to the translation and localisation processes they do, plus if there are any significant dates around those times they want to coincide their releases to maximize profits.
For the US, it's about 7-8 months, EU 6-10 months. (I'm bored to death so I did look up the dates.)
Might be another 2 weeks added to those dates due to the Global Link and C-Gear and all the new things that came with B&W.

Well sorry if you misunderstood me. I meant 7 months from when the game was released in Japan til' it's released in the US. So right now I'd say about another 3 or 4 months left.

Panpour doesn't sound as nice as the others but really how else would they name them? AquaHippie, Broccoli and Firechimp sound better as nicknames, not as traditional Pokemon ones.

Actually, I was told recently the names have to do with the 1st gym's leaders. Pour, Sage, and Sear each have something to do with cooking. Also, the gym leaders usually talk about food, spices, and flavors in the anime.
