Soul silver is the 2nd best Pokemon game I have ever played.
What's the best? Mine is Ruby, without a doubt.
EB games rated Ruby 9.7 and Firered 9.8. I loved Ruby so much more
Opinions
whats yours?

I just ordered Heartgold on Amazon, the last Pokemon game I played was the Blue Edition. Any differences between the two? (Except for the obvious graphics change and the new Pokemon)
Now type doesn't decide what kind of stat it uses. Before for example fire moves where always special attack based. Now its individual for each move. Also the Special stat has been split in two Sp.attack and Sp.defense. Sp.Defense works the same as normal defense but then for Special moves. In generation 4 there is a total of 493 pokemon. Two new types Steel and Dark to balance the psychic type. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Steel_type http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Dark_(type) Thats all the stuff I can quickly think of.
Two new types Steel and Dark to balance the psychic type.
Great, my Alakazam used to kill everything. Thank you for bringing me up to date.
I'd imagine most of us have been playing since red/blue so we do remember.
But I didn't and it was very nice of him to explain it to me.
Once you get used to it I would really advise trying a nuzlocke. Its pretty much a self imposed challenge where you catch only the first encounter on each route and if your pokemon faint you must perma box/release it. It really makes you care about what happens in the game. Its pretty much the only reason I still play this game and it really adds to the fun and makes you respect pokemon you never even considered using before. It sounds retarded but its quite awesome.
It sounds retarded but its quite awesome.
Gonna try that when I finished it once, this "hardcore mode" sounds interesting but still a little too much for me who hasn't played it in 13 years.
Seen that pic earlier.
Probably back when I posted it in late August, many threads ago. There be bragging rights in that picture as well as a lot of shame.
thinking of preordering black/white sometime maybe for my birthday idk
Strange, I haven't thought about Pokemon in 13 years, and now that I ordered Heartgold, I can't wait to play it anymore and also all these old memories are coming back :S

Quick question: Will I miss any features on a 1st Gen DS? And can you use the wifi function of the DS for multiplayer over the internet?
I also got a DS wifi question, where do you setup a wifi connection at? I havent set it since I got my wireless router.
I think ingame.
Where? I don't see it. [editline]26th December 2010[/editline] nevermind I got it
