The only real problem with the Xbox 360 is the stupid kids who I meet all the time on there who don't have good PC's, and will buy anything a game company says because those little idiots are all fanboys. They're the reason shit like this happens. You know why they aren't doing this for PC? Because we're pissed off enough and they know the majority of us aren't prepubescent kids/fanboys. My take on this is that they are simply taking the time to experiment how much money they can earn from certain alternatives to the standard method. That's their job, that's how they earn money. If nobody likes it, fine, they get rid of it, but if people like it, which unlike what FP'ers here like to believe are beyond themselves, they keep it.

The PS3 is ok because it's got free internet and it can be used as a media platform. And the Wii is basically for casual gamers so no-one cares about it. But the 360 was just a money making machine. Halo, Gears of War, all those franchises coupled with Xbox Live meant that everyone wanted to get in on it. For some reason the fanboys are fanatic and will buy anything put infront of them, so therefore people keep doing this shit and getting away with it because they lap it all up. I miss the days when I just had my N64 and PC.

Consoles are just a way for corps to milk people out of more money, they are crippled PC's that aren't allowed to use keyboards or mouses by default because anyone with half a brain would notice that fact, the PC can do everything the consoles can do and more, you can also hook a huge TV up to the PC as a secondary display and put up in-front of your sofa so you can play games comfortably with a controller or watch movies/view images from the 500GB+ HDD that even the cheap PC's have these days. Just now are 250GB HDD's becoming the norm for consoles when for the PC you can get 1TB HDD's for less than the price of 250GB HDD for your console.
