• Call of Duty to get 'paid for' online services.

Considering that the only Activision games that I own are COD games, it won't affect me too much when I don't buy any of their products ever again if they go through with this.
If I worked for Robert Kotick, I'd be getting my ass off activision bilizard and turning independent developer or seeking another game company to work for. That guy doesn't care for the community neither he does for his workers.
Well what about Activision other games? Will they end up the same?
This is ridiculous. Activision would fail and fail hard. [editline]10:58PM[/editline]
I've heard that this is about having to pay for playing certain online gamemodes, but I have no details or official confirmation, though it was a pretty reliable source.
This? No, what is this? Shield laws don't help you here on Facepunch, friend.
If we're paying for EXTRA stuff like new guns or player skins, then I don't see the problem? If it's forced paid-DLC, then somebody needs to be punched in the dick.

Xbox live+CoD6 fees.

Recent letter I sent Activision: "Dear Activision, if you enact any sort of pay to play policy involving Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 I will send my copy to you FILLED WITH MY EXCREMENT. YOU ALREADY FUCKED ME OVER WITH GHOSTBUSTERS AND IT'S GLITCHED ACHIEVEMENTS. I swear to God if you try and pull some money grubbing scam by making us pay for online pay AND xbox live AND our internet connection I will return my copy of Modern Warfare 2 to you. Attached to a brick. Though the window of your headquarters. Yes, it will still be filled with my shit."
I ask again Who the fuck is mr. Core Fanbase. If it is not a person, but they seriously mean core of their fanbase... I just can't imagine already fucked up MW2 player yelling I WANT TO PAY FOR ADDONS THAT WILL UNBALANCE COMPLETLY GAME! I just...

Maps are great, but a whole new way to kill someone is even better.

maybe for Xbox and PS3 because they can and WILL rake in a lot from those with no question... PC on the other hand.. they will be beaten to death if they try any schemes ;)
Nice stating that as if it's a fact. I know that I, for one, would still care. Granted, I wouldn't care as much because Valve has been very generous with the gaming community and deserve a little extra money.
I said "Probably" poindexter. That means I was suggesting.
Just during Christmas? Dedi's and modding were announced removed on the PC side like a week before it released.
This is kinda old news actually.
What The Flying Fuck Is This Shit!?!?!
If this continues, It will be safe to say "Bye bye call of duty" in a few more years. It's choices like these that easily kill a fanchise.
Actvision really belives they can do what Blizzard can, that's kinda funny.
I hope to God Activision changes but I doubt they ever will because of their massive egos.
Who tried to ban me, i do not produce spam, i just talk in a tecnical way.
Now, if Valve made you pay a subscription for a Left4Dead MMO, you probably wouldn't moan as much.
Give me clocks for this, but... Do you seriously get stupider every god damn time you post?
What is the big deal or rating user's can some one tell me cause i think i may be a blonde lol.
Only game I'd pay for monthly is TF2, because it's got massive replay value and constant flow of new stuff, but if they suddenly added that, there'd be a shit storm, if it was a subscription from the start, alright sure.

I think you all need to learn a lesson in the free market. Companies do things because they believe it will make them more money/consumer loyalty (which will make them more money). If they did something like this there are two possibiliites: A) A lot of gamers buy it/pay for the service and the company makes money. They then expand on the idea because of its successfulness. B) The company loses a large amount of its fanbase and ends up losing money. They then retract what they did and go back to what they had before. Companies do not try to make people mad. Remember this "milking the cash cow" you guys like to talk about could also be called "providing the majority of people what they want," as shown by sales. If you want a change than don't buy it and get all of your friends to do the same. A majority of these people complaining about the lack of dedicated servers and such still ended up buying the game and therefore for all Activision knew it wasn't a big enough problem to warrant a change. The consumer has all the power. Companies have to bend to their will.
All these people complaining about the lack of dedicated servers and such still ended up buying the game
I didn't, and I know a lot of friends that didn't either.
I didn't, and I know a lot of friends that didn't either.
Enough still did to not warrant a change. Your personal example doesn't overshadow sales statistics.
Enough still did to not warrant a change. Your personal example doesn't overshadow sales statistics.
The chart showing the Xbox/Ps3/PC sales was kinda fun though. I think the PC one ended up being 4-8% of the total, so I suppose that shows something at least.
Men, man the war machines. TO THE DEATH OF ACTIVISION *toast*
The chart showing the Xbox/Ps3/PC sales was kinda fun though. I think the PC one ended up being 4-8% of the total, so I suppose that shows something at least.
MW2 still outsold MW for the PC. So while PC is a small percent of sales, it still went up.
