I believe that if Gordon and The Chief were real and fought to the death, Gordon wouldn't stand much of a chance because he is a regular human.

heres an easy tie breaker, gordon takes on anything he faces and wins without high tech futurisitic (save ar2) weapons and plus, he doesnt were a fricken helmet, think about it for a second
