Oh gosh, the whole Master Chief, Gordon, Snake, and Samus debates are weird.
When you plainly think about it without going into detail, it ends up being...
Gondon and Snake are equal.
Master Chief could beat Gordon probably only because he is DNA enhanced. That is probably the only reason. (I like Gordon better though)
Samus beats MC, The technology level between Samus and MC are so far apart its not even funny. Samus is DNA enhanced as well, so that kinda cancels out.

MC better than freeman? well, in power, a little bit, but look at the things the chief has killed, and look at the things freeman has killed, im not saying anything but ,master chief may have a hard time killing the nihilanth.....or the tentacle for that matter....

True, true. MC can only carry 2 weapons and a bunch of grenades. He could easily run out of ammo, and even though he has shields in his armor, they are crappy-ass shield that don't last long at all. When you look at it, Gordon's suit is better.
Gordon Freeman is awesome. But why does he have a pony tail in Half-Life? And why is he wearing his H.E.V suit on the tram? VALVe didn't create a model for him in scientist clothes, only in blue shift.
