To the right and finished all but a few side quests in Shivering Isles... The game is piss easy if you choose the right race, birthsign and custom class.
Blade, Block, Light Armor, Heavy Armor, Armorer, grab Umbra at the beginning after leaving the sewers and get the skeleton key... There you go, the game should just end right there because it's easymode after that.

How exactly can you play a linear game "differently"...? Nothing changes every game, people are still in the same places, occasionally you get a different bandit ambush or maybe a different item, but it all plays out the same. Let's not even get into armor... Oh man, level 14-16 you get Elven( Or Ebony?) and 16+ you get Deadric or Glass! I love killing badits and they have full sets of the best armor in the game, going to the Mage place in the Imperial City and getting shit enchanted.
Seriously, game is boring.

Why would I choose the weakest if I still have to do the terrible story line and the rather forgettable side quests? The only good thing about the "story" was the last 5 or so quests and one good side quest being the painted picture land area... KotN was just a drawn out single quest and Shivering Isles was only good for Sheogorath's odd personality.

I play all types of RPG's. MMO's, table top, action RPG's, open world RPG's, anything really, it's just that Oblivion is lacking in the RPG department... You can pretty much take any sword and shield(or nothing at all) through the game because the enemies scale with you, it's like "hey lets make an rpg but remove a lot of the rpg parts, lets just make a midevil fps!".
