I played this game LAN at college, and man did we have a fucking good time. We played CTF matches, co-op matches versus zombies (AIs we quickly wrote up to use knives and fists)... fucking miss college now lol.

Skulltag is a modified Doom engine, with better graphics and better mod support. Get your hands on doom.wad and doom2.wad, should run most mods if you have both. Anyway, running skulltag with the Delta Invasion mod will cause you (and your friends) to SHIT BRICKS. Once you play this, you will wonder what the fuck is wrong with modern games.
I don't know if Beat Hazard is the best suggestion. It kinda lagged on my friend's crappy laptop. All the flashing lights and whatnot.

If your into Bullet Hell games then perhaps a Touhou game might be in order.
Beat Hazard, of course, but make sure you put it on windowed mode. By putting it on windowed, it becomes much faster.
