One would think wearing a silver ring would work
but it doesn't :C
Are you trying to play the whole game with hand to hand? You could just get a silver dagger/sword and only use it on ghosts. Or you could just run right by them.
I want to install FCOM but the installation guide is intimidating.
Darn it! Now i'm gunna have to re install the game!

Just read the guide on the first page. It takes a while to install it all, but it's worth it.
I thought Modular Oblivion rebuilt Kvatch before the Oblivion gate. Now it doesn't make much sense :(
Wow. Spent hours downloading FCOM, following the guide to the letter- even reinstalled and reupdated Oblivion to start out with a clean slate to minimize conflicts- and guess fucking what? Load screen crash. Every. Single. Fucking. Time.

1.Are you asbolutely sure you followed the instructions explicitly?
2.Do you have the essentials? BOSS, Wrye Bash, OBSE, etc.?

I'm kinda scared of messing up the installation, ruining my Oblivion, meaning I'd have to reinstall and repatch.

Just make backups of your sounds, meshes, textures, etc folders. So if you do fail, you can just delete the FCOM files and try again, or just delete the files and start playing with whatever you have.

If that happens, you did it wrong.

Positive. However, I did run into some questionable occurrences during the installation of several mods, especially when doing manual installs of several that were listed as OBMM-compatible when in fact they weren't. I'm running a clean install, organizing everything, and setting up for another go at it tomorrow.
No offense, it shouldn't need life support, half life doesn't
HAHAHAHAHA
oh wow
If mods are the only thing keeping it alive, the game blows ass
Main Quest is too hard, long, and boring for me, I did all the sidequests though.
The thing is that it doesn't force you to do it all at once, so you can do parts of it and then leave it for later when you feel like continuing it.

remember to use boss and disable the edit time resetting in wryebash I just followed instructions from 5 fries one at a time and I only had to use wrye and boss.
I just wish someone would package it all together in one .exe/.omod.
I was playing Oblivion today, and felt no motivation to play at that point, I felt way to hyper and impatient to deal with it, but only today. So I played research and Development instead, got most of the way through. I hope I don't get tired of Oblivion, I haven't even dipped into Shivering Isles or Knights of the Nine yet!

Shivering Isles is an AMAZING breath of fresh air in the world of Oblivion, I highly recomend it if you wanna get into Oblivion again
Am I the only one that didn't like Shivering Isles?
I guess it's because I don't like magic and stuff.

Shivering Isles was cool because you actually got to decide stuff, and you were actually SOMEBODY, instead of Oblivion or every other game where you're nobody.
Whatever, i'll drop FCOM.
Installing all that shit. Following the instructions extremely precise and it doesn't even work.
I wont bother to try again.

I'm not trolling. I followed the instructions properly and it worked. Funny huh?
Stop trolling please, i followed the instructions properly.
Well you quite obviously did not follow them properly. If you had, then it would work.
Well you quite obviously did not follow them properly. If you had, then it would work.
No i had this problem before i installed FCOM, i did a fresh install when the first problem occured.
Also trolling is when someone says something in order to start a fight.

By your definition, I'm not trolling. I was just telling you that you are missing out and you obviously didn't install it right.
It would be very helpful if Wyre Bash didn't use FailPlanet.

All side quests finish, can't be assed to close Oblivion gates.
ive gotten like a few mods and the ones I really want to play are: Midas Spells, Nightshade Armor, Reapers Tower. and thats it. I can run like 5 mods on Fallout 3 but I can only load 1 on oblivion for some reason. is there like a patch that will make my game less of a pussy?
