What's a good house mod for a mage character? I'd make my own but I just can't stand the CS' controls.
[editline]11:16PM[/editline]
It's cool.
If you're prepared to shell out a bit the official frostcrag spire mod is good.
All the thanks to aero1444. It seems to work fine. The guard thing was pissing me off to no end.
One more request, Is there a good mod that will increase game preformence? It dosent have to make my game look ultra sexy but something that will stop the stuttering that happens every so often. But if there is a mod that will enable me to sex up the graphics then by all means.
I figuered I should go ahead and get the modding out of the way in the early stages of the game to advoid getting 20 or more hours in and losing everything.
There's loads, if you just look around tesnexus. I suggest looking for mesh simplifiers, there's one that does every object in oblivion, and one for grass. If you're lagging in the wilderness, then you should turn the amount of grass down, and if it persists have it off altogether. I did that and my game runs great now.
Could someone tell me why is my speed like this and is there a fix to it?

I'm listening to the soundtrack right now, it's fantastic.

Streamline, boosts fps by 30
I bought this from steam a few days ago, turns out steam won't download oblivion.exe for some unknown reason. Tried getting in contact with the support, told me to validate the cache. Did that, same problem, reinstalled, same problem. Now they want me to contact Bethesda support even though it's a issue with steam not oblivion.
Anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

Check the rightmost tab. That shows you what all of your buffs and nerfs are (diseases, spells, enchantments, etc.).

You got hit with a lot of Damage Speed effects, either from poisons or magic. Either find some Restore Speed potions or go to a chapel and activate the alter.
I made a skooma addict character, his only purpose was to get more skooma, I got a bunch after awhile, then got tired of being able to only drink 1-2 at a time, got a mod that let me drink unlimited potions, then chugged the majority of my stash, my speed was over 3000, but the game eventually crashed when I kept chugging skooma.

This is one game I would never download from steam or anywear else for that matter. The probability of running into to problems with a game such as this just seems a bit high to me. Might just be the way I think though. If anything you could just go buy a hard copy of the GOTY edition.

My character is a Redguard warrior that's basically a tank but I want him to be able to heal himself. Is this possible? Right now I lose magika extremely fast and heal for very little, any tips to make this any better?
You get a minor healing spell almost at start.
[editline]05:20PM[/editline]
Oh well since that doesn¡t work. Try raising intelligence by either leveling up or with equipment, that will increase your magicka, therefor not draining it so fast.
If you want to heal more health, increase your restoration skill and get a better spell.
So I just have to buy better healing spells?
Yes, my Argonian has a restoration skill of 32 so i got him a major healing spell from one of the mages guild, it heals 50 health for about 40 magicka i think.
Why are you such fucking niggers? I mean seriously...
Niggers...

Yeah regretting in now. If they can't fix it I am going to try and get a refund and buy from amazon or something.
I really need Morrowind now so I can use Morroblivion :v:
did they add in quests and stuff to Morrowblivion yet? until then, I don't really think it's worth downloading yet.
Alright so Im trying to load the Streamline thing but I had to download obse script thing. Anyway I got all the files copied but when I try to run launch it it informs me I need 1.1.0.425 beta patch of oblivion and I need too upgrade to 1.2.0.416.
Can someone please link me to the 1.2.0.416. ? I would find said patch myself but Im unsure of it.

Ok you guys have to stay with me for this for I dont do this stuff very often, were the hell is my old beta patch located at? I must delete it for the new one to load.
I'm trying to figure out if I have Oblivion Script Extender installed, and I honestly can't figure out if I do.
Is there a way to check? I have Deadly Reflexes so maybe that means it is installed?
Why can I not drink Ale, beer, etc. only put them on my weapon...?
I swear I could have drank them before.

You could just use cheats to kill them(open console, click on one and type kill).
Nah, cheats are like drugs for me.
Also console doesn't work with vista.
Bah, i can't fucking run away from this situantion :(

I have Vista and it works for me. Just keep running until you get to somewhere safe, or until they lose interest. Or stop once in a while, use a spell(if you're not a mage just use the fireball that you start out with), then keep running.
