I use that same UI. Much better for immersion than the HUGE stock one.

Reneer's Guard Overhaul

Only mod I have right now as metioned earlyer in the thread. Saved the game for me really. Eliminates telepathic guards, so if you feel the need to murder someone while in town the Guards will not magicaly see it from across town. Also enables you to bribe Guards.

I got this game a few days ago, and so far I'd have to say it's excellent. But there are a few weird things going on.

I'm on my first character, and I went to sleep at an Inn. When I woke up, it said I had a dream about a Necromancer taking my flesh or something like that. Now for some reason whenever I go outside, I continuously receive damage... Does anybody know what's going on?

I just wish I could play this again. I'm running windows 7 and stock oblivion runs fine. (Mods included) But if I install SI the game will freeze when I go outside for more than like 10 mins. I might just play without SI but it's hella fun out there.

You're a vampire now.

You were fighting a vampire and contracted a disease called 'porophyric hemophilia' or something like that and left it uncured for 3 days.

Now the only way to cure it is to do a longass quest. Have a nice day.

You got turned into a vampire.

There are two ways I know of to get a cure for this.

First is to go through the vampire cure quest. The conversation topic "vampire cure" will come up and should point you in the right direction to get the quest started.

However, keep in mind that if you go through this quest and take the potion you get as a reward, you'll become immune to vampirism and won't be able to turn into a vampire again. There are some positive benefits to being a vampire so you may want to put this quest off for a while or do the quest and save the potion for later.

If you have the Vile Lair plugin then you have yet another option. If you go to Deepscorn Hollow you can use the Font of Renewal to cure your vampirism. If I remember correctly this cure does not give you an immunity to vampirism, which means that you can become a vampire again if you are re-infected and don't cure it for three days. However, this may be the better short-term solution since it leaves you the option of becoming a vampire again should you want to.

the jewelry store in imperial city is amazing. rich peoples houses are good too clothes have a good weight/value ratio

Ulen Athram's house has good loot. His wife has a really valuable enchanted amulet. There's also some valuable books in there.

He lives in Talos Plaza he's one of the four houses in the center.

if you have an excellent lockpicking skill and did the Paranoia quest, you can plunder all of the locked chests in Glarthir's house. should be a decent amount of armor and weapons in them. also, Heinrich Oaken-Hull's house is also a good place to plunder. there SHOULD be an enchanted dagger there that should be worth a good deal of gold. I think I also found an amulet there that got me a solid 600 gold from Ongar. you can also plunder weapon and armor shops for their display items. they're usually worth 20 and up.

when I plunder houses, I usually take every silver kitchenware in the house. they're the only kitchenware items I know of that have value. clay and pewter are worthless. I also take the books, too.
