I would suggest a mod that would make it were the Guards are not telopathic. If you are planning on making a assassin or a evil charecter I really think its a must. It dosent change the game that much It just enables you to actually commit crimes without being caught.
I just installed the Reneers Guard Overhaul mod. It changes the guard behavior so that they're not "telepathic", if you commit a crime and an NPC yells for guards, only guards who would actually be able to hear the NPC's yells show up, allows guards to interpret you as "suspicious" if they see you sneaking around the city, etc.
Yes thats the only mod I have installed right now. Really improves the game imo.
1. Yes. I played vanilla on my first playthrough, then started modding it on my second. 2. Yes, I think so. 3. Tick everything. Sometimes the SI quest doesn't show up. Disable the SI ESP, go into the game, save, exit, re-enable it, and then go back into the game and wait. If there's still nothing, just go ahead and swim to the middle of niben bay and look for the portal. 4. www.obliviondownloads.com Pretty sure the GOTY edition comes with all the DLC though. I don't own it so I can't give a definite opinion.
Heh, I didn't know the Niben Bay quest was the Shivering Isles quest. Well, that solves that. Also, I'm pretty sure the GOTY only came with SI and Knights of the Nine. Could be wrong though, since I don't know how to tell.
Just read this on UESP.net
A Game of the Year (GOTY) edition of Oblivion was released on September 10, 2007 (for PC and Xbox 360; October 16 2007 for PS3). The GOTY version of the game is the equivalent of the original game patched to version 1.2.1, with the addition of the Knights of the Nine plug-in and the Shivering Isles expansion. The other eight official plug-ins are not included in the GOTY edition.
Source: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Game_of_the_Year#GOTY
Is there ANY mod to make the face sliders not affect others? It's driving me nuts!
There is a mod that provides an infinitely reusable oblivion gate. It's one of the most underrated mods ever. It's completely and totally essential in my opinion. Sigil stones are like the essence of win as far as equipment goes.
I love you. I've been looking for something like this for ages.
it comes with all DLC apart from fighters stronghold (Battlehorn Castle)
No. It doesn't include any small DLC packs. It only has Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles.
I'm going to try this again after I beat GTA4 and maybe FO3.
Just read this on UESP.net Source: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Game_of_the_Year#GOTY
I knew it!
Just wondering, why are helmets so uncommon in this game. I've played for roughly 130 hours, I'm level 51 and I see Daedric cuirasses, greaves, gauntlets, etc where ever I look, yet I've only found 3 Daedric helmets in the entire game. The same is true for Glass and other armour types.
Level 51? goddamn sorry for not being on topic.
Yeah, It's the highest possible level for my character. All my major skills are 100.
I've played for around 34 hours. I'm level 17 :c
Well Im drawn between the house in Bravil an the one in Imperial City I only have 8000 in currency at the moment. I wanted one in Bruma but its 10000. Anyways to make qick good cash?
A) SPELUNKY! B)Buy all the incridients from alchemists, mix them together and sell everything back. C)Go to skingrad vineyard, steal all the grapes, go clockwise around the city to a tomato farm, steal all tomatos, make shitloads of fatique potions and sell them to alchemist, rinse and repeat. D)Go to bandit caves, pillage, rape, loot, sell.
So i've repented all my endless sins and i've gone the way of the nine divines. I completed knights of the nine quest, no i'm a nice person. I give gold to beggars, and so on.
Yeah, It's the highest possible level for my character. All my major skills are 100.
Want to get it higher? Commit a bunch of crimes to get your bounty moderately high, and serve your sentence in jail. For day of the sentence one randomly chosen skill will go down by one, unless it's sneak or security which will go up by one. When you get out some of your major skills should have gone down, so you can level them back up again. Though I've never actually done this, so let me know if it doesn't work for some strange reason.
Guys, the unofficial oblivion patch isn't working. Steam version with OBSE 1.7 b2 or whatever (with steam support). You guys have this problem? I am getting the spell and key though. EDIT It works now. Used OMOD version.
Need a bit of help. I installed Supreme Magicka, but telekinesis won't open doors, pickpocket people, open containers, etc. The only "new" telekinesis feature that works is that I can force-push/pull people. Anyone else got this problem? Using OOO and Midas Magic, which doesn't conflict as far as I know.
Are you using OBSE, because that's required.
Are you using OBSE, because that's required.
yes, the newest version. All other SM features work, too.

Damn it, this is addicting. I was just playing, looked at my watch, and realized, like, two hours passed. Good bye, social life.
Damnit... I miss this game so much. I used to play it almost every day before my gaming rig died. Now I'm stuck with a fucking ATI Rage 128 pro that can barely handle DirectX 6, and the only chance of me getting a new computer is when I turn 15 and start working. :/
Ant way to combat ghost without much magic? My magic skills are about if not the same as they were in the begining. Its getting kind of lame hurling weak fireballs at a ghost for 3 mins.
