Have you tried the Quiet Feet mod? Apparently some creatures can cause stuttering due to sounds playing when they walk.
Too bad there won't be a new tes.
Oblivion is the best RPG ever.
My god, shivering isles is just.. fantastic. Sheogorath it the most amazing character in the game.
I kind of want to beat the game vanilla style, and all the expansions vanilla style as well, because i never have, (went straight for the mods after playing vanilla for a bit..) But I don't want to reinstall all my mods.. I think I could just reinstall it after renaming the oblivion folder i have now, but I don't know if that would fuck with anything that I have installed now..
I like Oblivion, but... it's mostly boring - the best part, which you can play all time, is Dark Brotherhood. Anyway, I enjoyed this game.
I'm at that point... where I've reached level 20, done the dark brotherhood and thieves guild, got bored of the main quest and shivering isles... and don't have the cravings to play it any more. It's only a matter of time before I uninstall.
This always happens.

Did you do any side quests? The knights guild quests??
At the end of the official quest awesome stuff happens. You should do it.
I'm roleplaying a farmer in Shetcomb Farm. I wonder if the containers there are safe...
Anyone ever make that FCOM SVN or OMOD?
Still don't have my PC, should get it on tuesday. Then I'll do it.
Can someone help me out? The game gets laggy when I get in a fight outdoors, it's really annoying. Actually whenever I'm in combat the game slows a bit but it gets to the point of being nearly unplayable outdoors.
I have settings all pretty damn low too.
And the thing I noticed is if for example I see a wolf ahead of me but it's not seen me there's no lag but as soon as it goes into combat mode the lag begins. To me this suggests it's not a graphics issue. Though I did wonder if there is any way to lower the textures on creatures.

This worked, thanks. And to the poster above me. Maybe you had the same prob as me.

Did your game lag im combat before the mod you got?
Edit: quiet feet mof mentions wolves, those bastards in particular lagged my combat up!

Scroll down to the Notes.

You could also go into the editor and change that though. Also, there's Reneer's Container mod, http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=3659
Hey Generic, you should add a race list.
I wish you could catch Lycanthropy in this like you could in Morrowind, Werewolves are just as good as vampires.

Anyone have an idea of a place I can move to? Specifically a farm with a useable bed and safe containers...
With DarnifiedUI, is there any way to access the current afflictions menu? All I have is the DarnUI settings in place of afflictions, and this has been bugging me for a while.

Oblivion hits my hard drive space hard.... Oblivion+mods= 153.1 GB lol pretty big if you ask me.

good that quiet feet thingy worked, should try that myself...as far as changing MMM, when you download the whole pack, it has all the .esp's included in it, like add this monster, remove that one etc. so then ya just pick and choose what you want, but if you want to remove something halfway thru a game, it may cause problems. But they have farm animals.esp, less rats.esp, foxes.esp and even spawn rates - reduced.esp and reduced reduced.esp even (but reduced reduced would prolly look like vanilla imo)

Uhh no. Windows just detects the size of the directory whatever you installed something is located.
If you have 3-5 different "installed" items to one directory, Windows will say each program is 30gb large if the folder they sit in has 30gb of data in it.
So in other words your oblivion folder is only 30gb large. Still big but not over 100gb.

Still fuck 30 gigs is huge.
Damnit, after exactly 9 hours of playing on a new character Thieves Arsenal suddenly makes my game freeze constantly within seconds, I tried disabling the mod and it works fine again so I made a new save without the mod active, I then reactivate the mod and loaded my character from the new save and the constant freezing returns. I thought making a new save without the mod and then reactivating the mod would fix such problems.
I can't live without my blackjack. :sigh:
