That is great.
I could try finding how to actually see the face of my character later, but this one, I went from being the OP Magical killing machine to the brutish Kill-everyone-in-fucking-sight evil bastard.
Argonian helps in this one.
Press and hold F to rotate your camera around your character.
Or at least thats what I bound it to.
guy with the mammoth, you should do that in the elsweyr mod and just make a comic out of the quests and stuff
Wow, lucky me, bought the GOTY edition finally. It only came with Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles. Fuck that.

What's wrong with that? That's everything except that castle DLC.

No, that's 2 of the 9. I've got the original Oblivion and Fallout and I've just now gotten the GOTY editions of both (F3 just because it's nice, I already had all the DLCs) and expected more from Oblivion's. But oh well, at least the DLCs are cheap to free.

Wait, the GOTY edition NotN doesn't come with the other DLC? That's bullshit. The normal version does, that sucks.
speaking of that, i wish spell tomes were more common

A friend of mine finished every single quest in oblivion. Got to around 500k gold and level 50 with almost 200 fame.
And he was playing on console so no he didn't cheat.
Argh I'm still loking for that FCOM SVN or OMOD.

On steam you can buy the Game of the Year Edition Deluxe for $5 more. It comes with all the extra shit, like the wizard tower, horse armor, and that pirate cove. Also comes with The Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. I would know, I just bought it :fuckyou:
you're just mad cuz im rockin deadric armor and you're a scrub stuck in mithril!
Fuck daedric armor, be a man and wear rusty iron armor, or fight naked.
I'm so tired of the better armor, I find it ugly and the worse your armor is the more challenging the game is.
Two things that piss me off are how damn ugly unmatched armor sets are and how the 'better' spells have a worse magicka-use-to-damage ratio. It'd be nice if all sets of armor were like the Arena's deal, the only extra piece you can get is a helmet and the rest is covered with only one garment.

That makes sense though.
By using the better spells you're dealing more damage in a shorter amount of time, you need to trade off for it somehow or you end up with balance problems.
If magicka was directly proportional to damage then you'd simply make a damage dealing spell that drains all of your magicka, essentially turning all your magicka into damage in an instant which would immediately kill anything that you would be able to kill with the amount of magicka you have.
It would be like allowing a pistol in a first person shooter to fire every round in its magazine in one shot.
I'm playing this game through with OOO and a few other mods. I'm gonna collect all the artifacts and post screens.
That makes sense though.

Example: Two touch damage spells, one thunder and one frost. The frost does 15 damage, the thunder does 12. Frost costs 36, thunder costs 12.
There's really no reason to ever buy any damaging spells that aren't the very weakest ones, and it does make sense the way I see it, it should be more like the beginner spells as glocks and the more powerful ones as deags (CS:S anyone), not the weakest ones as big black athletes and the more powerful ones being wheelchair-bound nerds

If you always go with the weakest spells then you're not going to kill your enemies fast enough later on. Sure you would be using magicka more efficiently but it'll take so long to do damage that your enemies will simply wear you down.
To really balance having magicka directly proportional to damage in this game you would have to remove spellmaking and limit the player to pre-determined damage dealing spells, otherwise it would end up being very exploitable.
Besides, the cost of spells is already reduced if you level up in skill required and if you want even better magicka efficiency with higher level spells then you're supposed to use weakness spells, which are damage multipliers that retain their effectiveness regardless of what level you're at and have a fixed magicka cost.
My mage can already put out about 100 damage per second while using 95 magicka per second using fire spells. With weakness spells he can easily triple that, up to 300 damage per second while using about 120 magicka per second on average, that's somewhat better than doing damage double that of the magicka being used.

Deagles also have smaller magazines and cost more, but they're more effective because they do more damage in a shorter amount of time, in CS:S that is.
Deagles
more effective
The recoil
Oh god, the recoil
[editline]02:43PM[/editline]
I mean, sure, it might be strong, but is it worth it to have your hand explode?
you're just mad cuz im rockin deadric armor and you're a scrub stuck in mithril!
UUh.. mithril isn't that bad actually.
